tw // blood, just at the end

"Seriously?" Josh laughed lightly on the phone. "This month?"
CJ quietly listened to her boyfriend's side of his conversation with Tyler from the other side of the couch.
"Wow.." Josh nodded. "That's great.. next week?.. Okay."
"What was that about?" CJ asked when Josh was finished on the phone.
"The record company," Josh replied. "They're gonna officially evaluate us."
"Josh," CJ gushed as she wrapped her arms around him. "That's great!"
"For two months." Josh told her.
"It takes two months?" CJ asked.
"I mean, um," Josh placed his hand on her leg. "Touring for two months."
"Really?"
"Yeah." Josh nodded.
"That's a long time." CJ added.
"Which means we'd be apart for two months," Josh explained. "Unless you come with us."
"Oh, Josh," CJ sighed as she shook her head. "You know that's not something I can do."
"Then you have to stay here."
"I-" CJ's eyebrows furrowed at the thought of not being with Josh for such a long period of time.
"This is a huge opportunity, CJ," Josh told her. "I can't just turn it down."
"I know." CJ nodded.
"Or else I would just stay here with you for the rest of my life." Josh joked.
CJ smiled at his sentiment.
"There's a meeting next week," Josh stated. "They'll go over all of the details then, but I'm sure you'd be able to come with us."
"I don't know, Josh," CJ said. "Not being home for two months?"
"That's a decision you have to make, love," Josh told her. "You can stay here by yourself and watch over the house and stuff. We can make a schedule so that we can always call each other."
"Being alone all that time?" CJ shook her head.
"Or you can come with us and we can be together the whole time."
"That's a lot of interaction with other people and so much traveling."
"Well," Josh grabbed her hand. "It's your decision, but I would miss you so bad if you stayed here."
"I'll think about it, okay?" CJ told Josh.
"Do you wanna come with us?" Josh asked as he got ready for the meeting.
"I'll stay here." CJ told him as she began running her fingers through his hair, trying to make it look somewhat presentable.
"Babe," Josh whined as he grabbed her hands and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "I want you there. For moral support."
"I can do moral support from home, right?" CJ said.
"It's not the same thing, CJ." Josh looked down at her.
"Alright," CJ rolled her eyes. "I'll go."
"You gotta hurry up," Josh told her as he opened the closet, which contained her clothes. "We don't wanna be late."
"No," CJ opened his dresser. "I wanna wear your clothes."
"CJ, you can't," Josh told her. "Any other day, yeah, but you gotta look presentable and professional today."
