Chapter 1: I quit!

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MIN-HI?! ARE YOU STATING THAT ALL THIS IS ACTUALLY PENDING??" My Boss barged in the office with the list that I had just handed in, blowing up as if it were to be the end of the world. Amazingly the skies turned grey and small drops of rain began falling as it intensified just like the mood that had grown within the office.

"T-those are really pending..." anxiety crawled within my body. I couldn't help myself from stuttering. What an asshole!

"YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE YOU?! WHERE ARE THE FILES?" His voice echoed within the cubical while no one dared to look him in the eyes. And honest to God I wanted to scream myself, but found myself not doing so. Pathetic right?

I just obeyed and passed him the damn files. He's my boss after all who am I to defy him. I've been working in this hell hole for a year now since I finished my course and the only reason I've managed to be here for even a year is because I love my colleagues.

I took a deep breath without him noticing and showed him an email I had sent to the client "I asked him for the documentation but he never handed it in..."

"MIN-HI!" I halted at the sudden outburst since I was right next to him now. I was practically ready to swallow what was coming my way.

"HE TOLD ME YOU LOST THE DOCUMENTATION AND THAT HE HANDED IT IN!" And once more his voice travelled throughout the whole office.

"LOOK! THE DAMN CLIENT IS A FREAKING LIAR! EVERYTIME I ASK HIM TO BRING THE MISSING DOCUMENTATION HE ALWAYS PUTS THE BLAME ON US! WHAT THE HECK DOES HE EXPECT US TO BE? WIZARDS? AND MAKE IT JUST POP UP? SORRY AMIGO! BUT IF HE DON'T BRING, WORK DON'T MOVE! AND ONE MORE THING TRUST YOUR WORKERS MORE THAN YOUR CLIENTS FUCKING DUMBASS!" That's what I wanted to say but it didn't happen... unfortunately.

"I... He didn't br-bring it..." I tried explaining as my lips curled in. But from the looks of it my honesty didn't mean shit.

Before we all knew it he picked up all my files and just as thunder striked he slammed it on the table with all his force which caused us to all flinch.

"EVERYONE IN MY OFFICE! NOW!" And here we go...

"I don't even get paid enough to tolerate this shit" I muttered underneath my breath as Yoo In Na my beautiful colleague glanced at me with hands attached to her head from stress "Think twice about staying here Min-Hi, you don't deserve this"

"You don't deserve it either..." I felt guilty. "... but I'm this close to walking out of here"

Before we move to his office and get our ears blasted, let me just explain something. My boss is named Mr. Jung Hoseok, he's in his thirties and he's a full on asshole from head to toe. I've been working here for about a year and half now and honestly I cant take it anymore!

According to Yoo In Na, he was never like this and I witnessed his nice and calm side for about what...? Six months? And that was when I was working here as an intern. After that, he had asked me to keep working for him and so I did. After all why not? I had a good relationship with my colleagues and I loved my work.

Did I mention I'm not on contract? Yeah I'm practically illegally working in this damn firm! So yeah... I spoke with him about contract signing and he always said 'next month' I've lost count of how many times I've heard that bull. Not to mention I was literally getting paid way below minimum salary.

And every month he would pull it up just a tiny bit and it was only last month that I manage to get paid the legal minimum salary, and to add to that he had the cheek to open his annoying mouth and say "If you want to earn more you have to work harder"
