This is a story about a naive girl named Min-Hi who has had anything but luck in her career and life. What happens when she meets a CEO of a company and thinks life is starting to take a turn for the better? Little did she know she would be stuck be...
There he stood. Right before the building taking a deep breath as he had decided what he needed to do, but pondering and finding the courage to take a few more steps forward and tell them the truth.
Min-hi on the other hand panicked at home, pacing backwards and forwards in her room, while she held jungkook's letter.
Dear Min-hi,
I don't even know where to start with and if you ever would believe what this fool would ever say to you after all this and I wouldn't blame you... To be honest, it's true that I may have slightly used you in my schemes and for that it was my fault. I never intended for you to get mixed up on this... At least, not this way... But I didn't do all this with ill intent. When I was about 6 years old I lost my parents, whom were killed in my own home because of a fire. I somehow survived even though they didn't and I was taken in by an orphanage. That's actually how I met Taehyung... And 3 years ago I had found out that the orphanage that raised me needed funds but there was nobody that cared to invest in a place where kids had lost or been abandoned by their family. They didn't care if they separated them. Instead they cared in investing in new bridges, fancy buildings and useless extras in our city which repulsed me. So we decided to take money from those who rob the people and donate it to the orphanage. If I had my document I would have proved this to you but I guess it's too late now... Min-hi, I may have lied to you about a these things but not the way I feel about you. I will now do what you deserve, and take myself in. I love you and I'm sorry that you ever had to meet a man like me.
And just one more thing, because I feel like you need to know, ...
She bet her thumbnail after reading it, while she felt a turmoil inside of her. She's never felt so unsure of her feelings. She literally didn't know if she should turn left or right. Hardly did she grab the documents to see if what he mentioned was the truth... Her heart sunk as she saw the last transaction and to where it was.
"Stupid Jungkook" she scrunched up the papers, running out of the room without changing.
"Where ar-" Wook worriedly was about to ask but couldn't finish his sentence. She was out the door before she could even here him call.
Messy hair, comfy pyjamas running down a road that smelt like rain had soaked the roads not that long ago with a light fog that covered the air.
She huffed and puffed, running as if her life depended on it, following what she felt even though she didn't even know what she was going to say or do when she got there.
The moment she arrived she spotted from a fair distance. She would recognize that back anywhere. They probably barely recognized him because of his dark clothing, people and the fog.
She didn't dare call out his name. Instead, she walked up to him just as he was about to take his steps and grabbed him by his wrist which startled him. Realizing who it was, he let her drag him away. "what are you doing here?" he mumbled confused, arriving to a hidden corner, while his eyes scanned his surroundings hoping nobody would see them standing together.
She rested her back on the cold concrete wall. "I don't know"
He scrunched up his eyebrows in confusion. "isn't this what u wanted? " he wrapped his hand around hers but she didn't budge. You never learn Min-hi! I must suffer from some kind of sickness...
She glanced at him properly, reaching a hand to remove his mouth cover. "I read it.. And you know what I think?" she raised her voice amidst the whispering which made her sound angry but he just stood there ready to listen to her.
"you're no Robin hood, stupid. Why did you have to do this " her eyes softened and eyes became watery. He passed his right hand, combing the side of her hair, bringing her in and resting his head on her shoulder.
"I'm so sorry" he whispered. She had lost count of how many times she's heard that word.
"I don't even know what to do or what I want anymore because of you..." her voice ached. "I don't even know what's right or wrong anymore" she whined once more letting her pain flow right out.
He stepped backwards, leaning towards her, passing his thumb to wipe the tear that escaped from her cheek. "aren't you crying too often?" he teased which made her chuckle but gained a nudge on his chest.
"even if you don't know what's right or wrong, it's okay..." he cupped her cheeks, placing the warmest kiss on her forehead and whispering before he stepped away. "... Everything will be okay and you'll be okay" he smiled.
But it felt like that smile would be the last she would see.
He walked off, before she could even stop him. Nervousness recked her as she saw him stepping in to the building.
Was she ever going to see him again? She thought as she was now sitting on the floor of her living room. She simply stood there letting time slip by while staring at the pitch black TV.
Before she knew it, it was already in the middle of the afternoon when Jimin came bursting in to the house. She hadn't heard from him in a while but he came with full force, spotting her right away. "I'm glad you're out of you're room. You need to see this" jumping over the couch near her trying to grab the remote, ready to show her something. She tried stopping him but he was just too fast.
Hardly did he put on the TV, there it was. The news that circulated the whole country.
And it seems that Jeon Jungkook, has confessed to his crimes just this morning. The most wanted criminal in South Korea has finally been arrested and we can finally be at peace
- the reporter spoke, while showing Jungkook with his wrests covered with a cloth and the police taking him.
"They're making him sound like a serial killer" Min-hi mumbled in frustration, while jimin just watched her reaction while continuing to look at the news.
He will be taken to court on the 15th of December, where he will be judged and sentenced. We still don't know how many years, so stay tuned and keep with the latest news - the reporter finished, and publicity came knocking in.
"You knew about this didn't you?" jimin scrunched up his eyebrows.
She just nodded, until she adjusted her body to look at him. "Why didn't you tell me the truth?"
"I didn't know... I doubted him but I didnt-" she cut him off before he could finish. "I'm not talking about Jungkook, jimin. I'm talking about you."
