"What did she say?" Jungkook turned to look at Min-hi, walking towards her.

"She said she'll put you behind bars too..." She muttered, which made Jungkook chuckle. "Sure, thing. Don't listen to her Min-hi, everything will be okay. She has mental problems"

The sound of the alarm beeped early in the morning, signalling it was time for Min-hi to go to work. She shuffled in between her blankets not feeling like going to work, staring at the ceiling with one hand over the thin bed sheet as the semi opened window welcomed the fresh morning air to travel the room, feeling the semi coldish breeze embracing her skin.

For the last few nights she's been unable to sleep properly, twisting and turning with what happened. "Everything will be okay...." She muttered along with a deep sigh, reminiscing with Jungkooks words. "... that's what he said..." she wanted to believe it so badly, but it just became much more difficult as time passed. She closed her eyes for a mare moment, hoping that everything was just a bad nightmare just like what she's been having every night, but no. This was as real as it could be and there was nothing she could do about it, but just stand by and wait. But how much longer did she have to wait?

Honestly, she wanted to talk to her brother or maybe even Jimin about this, but she just couldn't bring herself to do so. If she did, what would they say? Jimin would've probably gone along with 'I told you so' and what about Chang Wook? He would've probably thought she was disappointing him even more. She really felt like nothing in her life seemed to be going right. Just when she thinks things are turning for the better and sees a ray of sunshine, everything ends up turning pitch dark and just ends up taking a turn to the worst case scenario.

She continued to have her eye lids shut not feeling the energy to even reopen them, they felt so heavy... her life felt heavy. She wasn't use to this kind of situation and she didn't believe anyone would, if they were to be in the same situation.

Light knocks on her bedroom door, snatched her from her turmoil, widening her eyes at the sound of her brothers voice that came right after those four knocks he made. "Min-Hi... is everything okay?"

Her brother worried. It's been almost a week and every time she went to work, she skipped breakfast and when she came home she always felt tired and picked at her food. She didn't want to eat. She had lost the feeling of 'hunger'. She hardly ate anything yet she always felt full. The amount of questions and thoughts she had since the whole situation happened, made her full in so many ways.

"Everything's fine" She quickly reassured him, fast pacing towards the door, opening the door just to wear that smile that didn't exist on her face. Her oppa knew her far too well and it made him worry. "Min-hi..." He wanted to talk but she cut him off. "I'm fine. Everything is O.K." she tried so hard to convince him.

He bit his bottom lip unconvinced with her act. His hand landed on the frame of her bedroom door, looking very serious and covered in worries, trying to look her in the eyes but she couldn't even last a second staring straight at her brother. "Min-hi." His tone changed and she didn't dare cut him off this time. "Look at me" He spoke with a clear voice, but she didn't budge. She angled her eyes towards him, slowly shifting up, but it didn't dare to land on his eyes, instead she just stared at his chest, which was pretty much at her eye sight level, considering that he was tall.

He cleared his husky voice, since it was early in the morning and he was rather tired. "My eyes are here, not on my chest silly" He grabbed her chin firmly but not harshly so that they would maintain eye contact. "I know my sister too well so stop saying you're okay."

"I rea-" She wanted to insist but it was a losing battle after all. He immediately cut her off instead this time. "You're not. You do this every time Min-hi. You place this ugly fake smile on your face every time something happens so that I won't worry. Not to mention that you've been eating like a bird lately, pretty much knit picking at your meals, which I doubt you're on a diet considering that by norm you eat like a pig and that you always seem to be tired."

Her hand wrapped his hand, pulling it away from her chin, continuing with that sad smile on her face. "I'm fine. Don't worry"

"See! You're not fine! I just called you ugly and a pig and you didn't even jolt at that! My sister would've counter attacked by now!" He spoke with his tired voice.

"I'm tired... Oppa... I need to go to work" she pushed him away from her door, closing it with a sigh and quickly getting ready for work. He sighed behind her door not knowing what to do and just tried giving her more space.

By the time she was done, she stared at the mirror for a second and turned away. She couldn't even stare properly at her own self with disappointment. Walking down her corridor, skipping her breakfast which has been the usual lately and headed to her job. By the time she reached, she walked up to the receptionist.

"Uhmmn... is Tae..." She wanted to asked again if he was in, but it started to feel hopeless. She's been asking for him everyday and still nothing.

"He's still locked up at the police station..." She answered which saddened her. "What about Jungkook?" She asked but she also shook her head, signalling that he wasn't in once more. She just slowly walked up to the elevator and went up to her expected empty office. An office that was pretty much empty. No Taehyung and no Jungkook.

She walked up to Jungkook's office staring at his door, slightly opening it just to stare at an empty seat. She grabbed her phone to call him but it was sent directly to voicemail.

That day, when Taehyung got taken away he said everything was going to be okay, that everything was going to be fine and nothing seems to be that way. Jungkook had told her to take the day off and that he was going to try and deal with a few things. He looked so confident about it too and yet she felt super uneasy.

And she couldn't understand why he wasn't taking her calls. Why he wasn't seeing her or coming to the office or at least explain something that at least made some kind of sense, to pick up at least some of her puzzle pieces and help her stick them together instead of leaving them scattered all over the place, because everything felt like maze at this point to her. The office just buzzed with calls but she couldn't answer them all by herself. After all, she was only one.

Her phone then buzzed and her eyes lit in hopes that it was Jungkook, but when she stared at the screen it was an incoming call from Suga. The client that seemed to had almost disappeared and yet he was calling now of all times.

Her eyebrows farrowed, staring at the screen, wondering if she should take it or not.
