Chapter 7: First day

Finally it came. Min-Hi's first day at her new job. It started at nine but she was anticipating it so much that she couldn't really sleep properly the whole night. Even so, dark circles didn't form around her eyes. She didn't show any inch of tiredness but instead, she was rather hyper active.

It was seven in the morning and the sun was starting to rise upon the city. She showered and decided to wear a tight black leather knee length skirt, which hugged her waist and thighs nicely, matching with a white, three quarter sleeve shirt and low black heels. It was sexy and yet professional like she liked.

'This should look good enough.... or do I look like a over did it?...' She thought to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, putting on some naked makeup and wrapping her hair up into a well organized ponytail.

As she looked at the time, it was already a quarter past eight in the morning.

She quickly sprayed a dash of her victoria's secret perfume, which had a very sweet strawberry scent to it and made herself a cup of pure black coffee to start off her day. As she smelt the scent of her morning drugs and took a sip, her brother, who was also very neatly dressed in his black suit, walked into the kitchen to pour himself a cup of the same bitter drink.

"Nervous..." He sipped.

"A little..." She admitted as she let the sweet bitter coffee wake her up for good.

"Want me to drop you off?" He offered as he drank the rest of his drink and placed the cup in the sink as Min-hi simply nodded.

"You're going to have to tell me where it is, since I don't know" He reminded her while picking up his car keys.

"Take the second exit after the round about and turn to your first right" She spoke as he decided to trust her navigation skills.

"It's here" She pointed out and he parked his car near the building and analysed the outside area where she would be working at. Just as she was about to take her first foot out of the vehicle, her brother quickly reminded her of the important topic that they had spoken just the night before.

"Contract!...." He lifted his index finger, without having to mention anything else, as she nodded in agreement.

"Arasso" she spoke as she stepped out and shut the door, turning her heels to the building and going up the three stone stairs that were right before the entry of the company. But she was still early. The air was cool since it was half past eight in the morning, and there were still 30 minutes to go before the doors opened. She didn't exactly have the keys to the place, so she sat on the bench that was next to the building, until one of the workers came to open it.

While she waited and time closed in, she began feeling as if ants were having a fiesta in her belly.

'God.... What if I make a mistake?! What if they regret hiring me? What if....' She bit the inner part of her cheek in nervousness, until a hand landed on her shoulder, which stopped her from continuing on the road of 'what if' thoughts.

"What you doing..." The masculine, soothing voice spoke from above. When she turned her eyes to her upper left side, she realized that voice belong to Taehyung.

"Oh... I arrived a bit early but the place was still closed...." She tried explaining as she lift herself up quickly from the bench, brushing non existing dust from her skirt.

Taehyung couldn't help but examine her from head to toe, at how stunning she looked but yet very formal.

"You don't have to come so early" He explained as he licked his upper lip that had gone a bit dry.

Did I make a mistake for coming early....

"Oh... It's just that... I don't like being tardy" She smiled in nervousness as he gave a small chuckle, placing his hand softly on the back of her left shoulder, which made her flinch a bit from the touch and brush her shoulder automatically away. As handsome and breath taking as he was, she didn't like the feeling of people touching her with such ease. It could even be out of kindness or without any upper motive but she just hated it. She didn't like it unless they were really close, like Chang Wook or even Jimin.

Taehyung got surprised at her sudden reaction, one could clearly see she brushed it off very naturally, almost as if it were pure instinct "... did I offend you?"

"Ah no... sorry... its's nothing personal. It's really just me" She smiled mixing it with a small sigh as he simply chuckled at her.

"I was just going to say for us to go inside" He spoke as she rubbed her hands together and smiled, following him as he opened the front doors and made way to the elevator.

"So... where will my desk be?" She asked as they reached the fifth floor and Taehyung took his jacket off, placing it over his chair.

"Your office will be here" He showed her, opening the door to an office that was right next to her boss's office.

"Okay" She smiled as he then added. "...but for today you'll be working in Mr. Jeon's office, since a technical issue has occurred"

"I see" She nodded innocently, following his trail to Jungkook's office as he opened the door and she entered the boss's room.

"Mr. Jeon will be here soon to discuss some matters with you but you can make yourself comfortable" He spoke formally but with subtle smile, just before he closed the door to leave her alone in the room.

She pursed her lips as she touched the corner of the huge desk, walking slowly around it, until she landed her two butt cheeks on the cozy chair.

"Waaah, this is so cool" She swirled it around like a child, until she stopped her tracks the moment she faced the view that her beloved new boss had every day, while he worked.

"I wonder what it's like to be a boss..." She mumbled, biting her bottom lip as she turned the rolling chair slowly around mischievously, facing the huge desk, placing one leg on top of the desk and crossing the the other one on top "...like a boss..." she playfully spoke, completely oblivious to the the fact that next to the door stood a man staring at her with amusement, with a small smirk plastered on his face.

She was so stuck in her little world, that she didn't even hear the tiny creak sound of the door opening.

"It takes more than just two legs resting on my desk to be a boss" He responded with a husky voice, while raising his eyebrow as her heart rolled on the floor and escaped through the small gap that existed between the door, before he closed it completely.

...First day... I think I'm going to get fired....
