Today was the day, that everything would be decided about Jungkooks fate. The news had announced that he would be judged at noon.
It was nerve recking.
Wook has spent the whole night trying to figure something out to help me out. I even told him where the file was. Even if it wasn't directly helping me. But doing me this favor would almost come down to the same.
I was still in the hospital, because the doctors wanted to run down extra analysis. It seemed I was undernutired. But to be honest... Even if I were discharged from here, I don't think I would have the courage to face him being judged.
All I could do is fiddle around with my fingers and hope for the best, while I stayed attentive to the screen, trying to stay updated with whatever news they would broadcast in relation to him.
Nobody's POV
At the courtIt had been hours and hours of rambling and desputes between judging him and defending him. Wook had gotten a hold of Jungkook, and nagotiated with him to help him out. Managing to present himself as his lawyer in courts grounds.
Hardly, did the other lawyer finish disputing her thoughts and paper work that she piled up together. The judge turned to Wook, allowing him to have his turn to talk.
"I believe that my client, has come to an understanding that what he has done was wrong and admitted to the crimes of embezzlement of money, and..." he picks up his paper. "fraud..?" he scrunched up his eyebrows, letting out a snicker of amazement.
"Although, your honour, if you don't mind me saying this... But I believe there is no evidence that shows that my client, whom is standing right beside me has committed to any of these crimes other than words that he's spouted"
The judged, cleared his throat.
"What better proof; Than the person himself admitting to his wrong doings!" the lawyer that stood at the other end remarked.
"So, you're saying that any person who comes in to this room and says they've killed someone, robbed someone or any other possibly that could exist, without any proof whatsoever will be judged and sentenced to jail! When that person could be doing it to help someone or being threatened in other cases" He remarked, walking to her front desk, spreading his arms across the table and lowering himself to her height.
"If I may say... In court, we believe in paper and not in words" he infecised, making her scoff in irritation.
"Are you done? " The judge, spoke out for his attention and he smiled with confidence. "Yes, your honour" he worded, walking back to his seat.
"Your Honour!" the lawyer wasn't going down without a fight.
"May I say, all crimes in relation to the fraud and embezzlement within his company -" Wook disrupted her speech, speaking louder than before and finishing her sentence. "- were committed by Lee Taehyung, who has already been judged and arrested for 15 years of Jail, along with the proof that was presented this morning!"
She grew frustrated with his words, slamming her hands on the table and moving towards him. "Everybody in this country knows this man has committed a crime! If not? Than why hide?"
"if we all had to go by what media says, I'd be a criminal too don't you think?" it was his turn to slam his hands on the table.
"All they want is a story. And obviously because he's the boss of the company to which his worker was related to.. It was perfect for a headline" he smirked, adding. "Even if its a lie, of course"
"Then why hide?" she remarked with a smirk. "when you've been judged and nobody's going to believe you be it truth or lie, it's only natural a person would hide. And obviously, not taking the pressure anymore; My client walked in with his own two feet"
"So you admit he's guilty" she twisted it completely, but he just smirked taking his seat. "Again... PAPER not WORDS"
"Miss Kim, please retreat to your seat" The judged announced.
Diverting his attention, to the lawyers that stood there, and the people that came to witness the case.
"I'm afraid I must say..."
