Chapter 28: Reality

Min-hi slowly brought that phone to her ear, to take incoming call. After all, what else could happen at this point... She hadn't seen Jungkook in a while and neither has she heard any news from Taehyung. She needed some source of information and maybe he knew of it...

"Hello?..." Silence filled the air for a few seconds. Her eyes farrowed in confusion.

Just as she reached her finger to turn the call off a sound came through.

"Hello?" She brought it back to her ear. "Miss Min-hi?"

"Yes..."

"Is your boss around?"He asked and silence filled the air once more. "N-no" a sigh escaped and she reached out for a chair to take a rest. She hadn't been doing much but just the stress of the whole situation made her tired. It felt like she had run miles and she just simply didn't know what to do at this point.

"I see..." but he spoke no other words which filled her with anxiety. "Is there something you know Suga?!" Her voice trembled. She just wanted solid answers and she wasn't getting anything but empty shells.

He seemed to hesitate at first. "Do you think we could meet somewhere? I don't have much time"

"Where?"

"Meet me in 'At the top' coffee shop. I'll wait for you there" He spoke and turned off the call without saying anything else. All that was left in the empty office was the sound of the beeping after the call went off.

Without thinking twice, Min-hi grabbed her bag and walked out of that office at a fast pace. Trying to catch a taxi which she barely managed she rode off to her destination in hopes of getting answers to all her questions. Her mind was just running wild with so many things that she wanted to know.

Just as the vehicle stopped she jumped out paying the driver and running off to the coffee shop that Suga spoke of. She could see him there near the window sipping on his coffee while checking his watch several times as if time seemed to be so little and maybe it was...

She took a deep breath and made her way in.

"Mr. Suga?" She cleared her throat taking a seat in front of him. She still remembered what his administrator tried to do to her so she wasn't completely comfortable standing there with him.

He twirled his cup a few times while glancing at her, but not really making much eye contact. He seemed tired but not cocky. "You seem to have a lot of questions right...?"

"D-do you know something...?" Just as she questioned he leaned his back comfortably on the coffee shop's sofa and leaned back on to the table. "Not here..." He seemed so secretive.

"Did anyone follow you here?" He questioned in such a low tone and she signalled no with the movement of her head.

"Follow me" He left the bill on the table and got up from his seat. She was hesitant but still she followed behind him until they reached a non habitat area. Hardly anyone passed by in the narrow place where they stood.

"What's going on?" She asked once more and he leaned against the concrete wall, pulling his black hood away from his head and turned to look at her.

"You know... to be honest I felt bad for you"

"What do you mean?" Her voice shook.

"You really seemed oblivious to the whole situation" He brought his lighter from his pocket, along the cigarette. "Did you ever get to see that file from my company that Jungkook was taking care of?" he lighted his cigarette

"N-no..." She shook her head, remembering that she had seen it at his house but never really looked into it. At least she never really got the right chance.
