Finnick's POV
When we reach the lake we see Katniss sat down at the end of the water and her boots slightly in the water.
One of us snaps a twig causing her to look over to us.
"Oh my gosh! I thought I lost you!" She says jumping up.
"No, we were just walking really slowly" I reply.
She turns around and continues to walk through the woods to the enterence.
When we get to the edge she stops.
"Here, you still shouldn't have followed.." She says looking down.
"It's fine, aren't you coming to?" Clove asks.
"Uhh no.." She replies.
"How come?" I ask.
"I have to go sort that thing out in there. Plus I don't really go home until it gets dark.."
"Oh, we can help if you want?" Marvel says.
"Uhh, okay. I know this may weird but can you go get Rye and bring him back here?" She asks.
"What if he says no?" Clove asks.
"Say Katniss wants him, he'll come"
We all nod.
"I'll be in the woods, when you get outside the woods get Rye to ring me and I'll come meet you" she says.
We nod again before leaving.
• at the bakery •
We walk in and see Rye at the counter with his father. His father walks into the back where the kitchen is.
"Hey Rye!" Peeta says chirpily.
"What do you want Peeta?" Rye asks.
"Just come with us"
"Why should I?"
"'Cause I know your dirty little secret" Peeta says smirking.
"What are you on about Peeta?" Rye questions.
"Just come with us!"
"Why?!"
"Katniss wants you!" Peeta say.
Rye freezes. He looks up at us before yelling,
"Michael! Cover the counter, I gotta pop out a minute!"
Michael comes out. "Sure"
We all leave.
• at the entrance to the woods •
"Why are we here?" Rye asks.
"Katniss wanted to see you!" Peeta reminds him.
Rye smirks. "Oh, here?"
"Yes, now ring her!"
He pulls out his phone and puts it to his ear.
"Hey, you wanted to see me?"
"Okay"
He puts the phone from his ear and locks it.
Minutes later Katniss appears. She motions her hand to us for us to follow her.
We walk until we get to the tree where Gale is still leaning against it.
