*A81C7’s POV*

After driving for another six hours, we decided the town we were in was an alright looking town. A regular sized house, not too small but not above budget, was available for rent. That was what really made us decide to stay. We had enough money to make the first monthly payment of $700, and still buy some food.

We are currently searching for jobs online on Mor’s two computers she had and brought, with Mor helping me use one and Archer using another. We did not exactly have computers available for experiment use at New Age.

We have unpacked all our stuff and gotten it put in our separate rooms, but we are all sitting in the living room together. I do not think anyone really wants to be alone after everything that has happened.

I decide that I want to watch some more television, and attempt to improve my speaking skills. I do not like how most people question why I speak differently, or the fact that I speak distinctly differently than those around me.

Without much thought, I glide the remote to my hand with my mind, as I did not want to get up. I only realize what I have just done when I hear a loud gasp.

I turn to see Archer looking at me like he has lost his mind, while having already seen this Mor does not really care anymore. She gets over things fairly rapidly.

“Wha- you- the… what?!” Archer stutters, then continues, “I thought you told me all of the weird! You said you were just humans! What the hell are you, what, how did you do that!” he says completely and totally mystified.

Just then, Mor decides to look up from her computer and butt in, “We are human doggie man. Chill,” and then proceed to ignore us. That leaves me to explain all on my own. Great. At least Archer is too astounded by my telekinesis to react to being called a doggie man.

“Well, I am human,” I attempt to begin, but Archer interrupts me.

“No you are fucking not, I saw that! You have magic mind powers!” He yells.

“No, if you would just let me explain, please,” I say, and he does not interrupt me this time, encouraging me to continue, “I am human, but I was an experiment. It had some interesting results, and as all the experiments were mentally focused the results are mental abilities or powers. I am telekinetic, among other things, but I do not like people to really know. It is quite personal” I finish sternly. I really would not like to explain everything right now or deal with a reaction about my other abilities.

People do not tend to respond too well knowing that you can teleport, or manipulate thoughts, though they do not care as much about other powers. I believe it has more to do with knowing that someone could change your thoughts or disappear and then reappear in another place, so I do not get offended when people are scared or do not like me. That logical reasoning, however, does not eliminate melancholy feelings when people no longer wish to know me or are frightened.

“Okay, I guess. I never thought human experimentations, illegal ones, with results like this, actually happened. With my world, I just assume anyone with power is supernatural. Are you sure you’re not supernatural?” He asks, which is ridiculous. I am definitely not anything more than an experiment.

“Yes, I am sure. I am 100% human, Should you not be able to smell that?” I respond.

“Smell, he can smell things? Like super smell? Does everyone constantly have really bad B.O. to you? That would be horrible” Mor comments. I almost laugh at her thinking, while Archer looks once again a loss for words. I guess Mor tends to do that to people.

“You do not have to answer that, Archer” I reply before he can.

“Yes he does! C’mon A, I wanna know!!” Mor says.
