*A81C7's POV*

Mor, Archer, and I walk across the large pack house looking for Kim or James, not knowing where they are. We have only been here one day, we do not know where everyone and everything is quite yet.

We search through many rooms before finding Alpha Kim, as she is called. In this pack, the male and female leaders are equal, so often both of them are referred to as Alpha. They perform the same duties, each one doing half of the work. It really does work out nicely, with the pack members happy and everything done on time, everything that needs to be managed managed. It is a brilliant system.

We all greet Alpha Kim, respectfully, as you greet an Alpha of a pack, before beginning to attempt to figure out the job and work situation.

“So, we have heard that people here all have their own jobs to do, but we do not have any. Could you help us with that, Alpha Kim?” I request.

“Of course, James and I assign all the jobs, how about we go through what each person likes and or would be willing to do,” Alpha Kim responds.

“Sounds great!” Mor exclaims a bit too loudly, as she usually does.

“Okay,” Alpha Kim says with a slight chuckle, “Mor, why don’t you go first?”

“Sure! I worked at a clothing shop before, and I’ve been a waitress. I like people and games and I used to babysit when I was younger. I also really like organizing and-” Mor says, ready to continue until Alpha Kim puts up a hand to silence her.

“So, you like quite a few things, but what would you think about watching the younger pups at the daycare center and organizing there?” Alpha Kim suggests.

“Sure, that sounds great” Mor says, sounding excited, and I am happy for her. She should like this job, and I know that she did not like working at the clothing shop much. She will be happier watching the pups, and I am happy for her.

“Well, I could do most anything. I’m pretty good at repairing things, designing things, cleaning, cooking, stuff like that is more what I’m good at but I wouldn’t mind doing anything” Archer says, very obviously trying to get a job doing something he likes but also not wanting to be rude or disrespectful. He must be worried after his pat pack experiences about getting kicked out of this one, or worse.

“Well, would you be comfortable with working in the kitchen for two meals of the day? We usually prepare food for the entire pack for all the meals, and some of us eat together while others just pick up some food or grab some later,” Alpha Kim asks Archer.

“Sure, that sounds great,” Archer responds.

“Any preference over which two meals?” Alpha Kim questions.

“Well, breakfast and dinner would be nice,” He tells her, which is sensible considering his tendency to wake up early in the morning.

“Okay, that works out well,” Kim replies, then moves her gaze from Archer over to me, “What would you like to do?”  She asks.

I nervously fiddle with my bracelet, not really sure what I would want to do. I have never really done much, being stuck in the lab for so long and then forced to run from Nathan. Stupid wolf.

I glance up to Alpha Kim, and begin to say, “Umm, I-” Before Mor places a comforting hand on my shoulder. I clear my throat, beginning again, “I do not really like to be stuck inside, I am not sure what I would like to do… I could work outside doing something?” I suggest.

“We only have a few jobs outside, the main one being border patrol and the others being more seasonal, you could garden when it gets closer to spring, and mow grass? Cleaning up leaves in the fall?” She suggests, seeming to not have too many jobs but also not wanting to push me into something I would dislike too much.
