*A81C7's POV*
After we made it to a nearby town, we got onto a bus using a large amount of our money for tickets.
No one had any objections, and I believe everyone felt that we needed to get away. This place has too many memories, too many people that know us; too many bad things have occurred here. We simply cannot stay.
Even if we did, for some strange reason, want to stay in this town, in this city, in this state, we cannot.
It is not safe for us to stay.
After everything we did, and everything I have done, people will be looking for us. People will talk about the girl who disappeared, the girl who stole the alpha, the reason alphas turned human. Most of all, people will talk about the girl who was there, with her friends one minute, and had an entire pack awakening in their beds the next.
We need to settle somewhere hidden, so that is what we have done.
We have bought three small homes, all near each other. We obviously have to pay for them over time, and that is why we have all gotten jobs.
We have been living peacefully here for five weeks, though the first few weeks were slightly rough.
The worst part was probably when Nathan woke up. He was not happy at all. As I remember it, he was mostly scared but also slightly angry.
“What the actual hell,” Were his first words, and his words after that point were no more forgiving. Recounting the situation, it is almost like I am there again.
“What the heck happened? How am I even here? And who the fuck are all these people?” He rapidly asks me, Mor, Archer and Zac. He had happened to wake up right when Amanda had stepped out, and he was not happy about it.
“You are at your new house. You will learn how to live like a human here, and hopefully build a nice life for yourself,” I responded.
“You can’t make me stay here! What if I don’t feel like it? What’re you gonna do?” He says indignantly.
“No one is making you stay anywhere, but it would most likely be better if you were to remain here,” I state.
“Why would that be?” He retorts sharply.
“Well, you need help. You have never been human. I imagine that your mother would also be very saddened if you were to run from her,” I respond calmly. I have learned getting angry almost never helps to explain, reason, or come to an agreement. Staying calm and rational is almost always the best thing to do.
“My mother is here?”
“Yes. She should be back in a few minutes, but before then I think some introductions are needed,” I state. He nods, and Mor begins.
“Hiya! I’m Mor,”
“Hey, I’m Archer,”
“Zac,”
“And I am Ash,” I finish. “Also, Ryker will be staying in this house for a short while. He did not want to impose, but I do not think it would be very good for him to live alone currently,” I add.
“Why isn’t he here then?” Nathan questions, anger having partially left his voice.
“His brother just died, barely a day ago. We have been travelling most of the time since then, and he is reasonable not feeling up to doing anything,” I explain.
“His brother was one of the people I saw die, wasn’t he. Oh goddammit, I wish I hadn’t said anything. I really didn’t think my pack would turn on me like that. I’m so, so sorry,” Nathan apologizes.
