If your compliments must come as
a double edged sword,
I'd rather you take them off on your way in
And leave them at the door.
If your compliments must come with a "but",
I'd rather you keep them,
And leave your mouth shut.
If your compliment must come with a backhanded note,
Just keep it to yourself,
I'd rather just not know.
