Request from anon: Could I make a request for just a bit of a cuddle fic for Mountain and his s/o, my spring break isn't until next week and I've been really stressed with keeping up with last minute assignments I need a breather 😅

"Hey babe." The earth ghoul said cheerfully as he walked into the small office space in his girlfriends apartment. "What are you up to?" The girl sighed deeply, brushing her hair out of her face roughly.

"Studying. I have so much homework I might actually die." She forced a laugh, only sounding more desperate.

"That's what you said when I came in three hours ago..." Mountain gaped. In shock, she checked the lower right corner of her computer monitor to see that three hours had indeed passed.

"Oh god, I lost track of time." She slumped back into her desk chair with another exasperated sigh.

"Come on." Mountain stood behind her chair and began rubbing her shoulders gently. Her muscles were so tense that at the slightest touch, she instantly felt relief. She closed her eyes and relaxed back into the chair, letting out a tiny groan. "Your shoulders are so tense. Come take a nap with me?"

"No," She groaned again. "I have to finish this assignment."

"Babe it's not due for another week. You have plenty of time and you've been working for far too long now. Come."

"Come where?" She turned her chair on its wheels to face him. He smiled.

"Just come." Knowing that she could finish later, she saved all her work. "Put your shoes on, we're gonna go on a walk." She obliged, so tired she would have been willing to listen to anything he told her to do. The earth ghoul slid his keys into his back pocket, locking the front door of their house and taking her hand, leading her down the street. The sun was shining high and hot in the summer sky, warming the girls skin instantly and relaxing her just a little bit more. They both walked in a comfortable peaceful silence.

"You're right, this is nice." The girl smiled.

"This isn't it." Mountain said knowingly. They crossed the street to a local elementary school, and climbed the tall stone steps to the basket ball court. He held her hand tighter and lead her to the field at the back. Green grass grew tall and vibrant, uncut during the summer when the school was closed, and she watched as he sat down and crossed his legs. Unsure, she followed, sitting down beside him and stretching her legs out forward, leaning back on her hands and letting the sun warm her to the core. After a few short moments of silence, he spoke again. "Watch this." The girl sat up, looking at Mountain as he focused deeply on the patch of grass in front of them. As if out of thin air, the grass began to grow tall all around them, shielding them from the world around. The girl laughed loudly.

"That's amazing, Mountain, oh my god." She gaped, reaching out and running her hands through the base of the grass, feeling it to be as real as the grass they were already sitting on. Before she could fully take in the sight, the grass inside the circle just in front of them began to sink deep into the earth, and in their place, beautiful tulips of all color grew, fully bloomed in less than thirty seconds. She didn't know what to do so she just threw her arms around the ghoul, grinning wildly. "That's so beautiful. Thank you." Shortly after she finished speaking, their little enclosure had filled entirely with the intoxicating scent of the fresh flowers. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, more at peace than she had been in so long.

"Life will pass you by if you don't stop to smell the flowers, once in a while."
