Request: "She's hiding behind the sofa" with Aether (I have no idea why this came to mind lol, literally the first thing I thought of tbh)

Answer:

"Look, I know I can catch her. I just have to find her." Aether grimaced as he walked between the pews of the church.

"She's too good at hiding. And she's fast, Aether. How exactly do you plan on catching her? You're not exactly peak male physique, dude." Dewdrop remarked as they walked.

"Hey! I'm certainly more fit than you are."

"Yeah, whatever you say, beefy." Dew snorted, enraging Aether. The fire ghoul swallowed harshly as he decided his best bet would be to run, Aether tailing just behind him. "Told you! You can't even catch me!" He taunted. Aether chased Dewdrop directly into the Ghoul Break Room.

"Wait!" Swiss shouted, separating the ghouls before Aether could tackle him. "She's hiding behind the couch." Swiss whispered, and pointed to the strands of auburn hair sticking out behind the battered couch.

"Swiss, you snitch!" The girl screamed, forcing herself up and bolting out of the door. Swiss merely laughed as he watched Aether and Dew dart after the girl. When there wasn't much to do, the ghouls often played a game of manhunt - Dew and Aether were always the best if Swiss wasn't playing, because Mountain wasn't a very good hider, and Mountain wasn't very fast. Aether would find everyone, and Dew would catch them, though they rarely worked as a team without a few snide remarks. Swiss butt out so Aether's new girlfriend could join in, but none of them expected her to be so fast, or good at hiding.

"Where the hell did you find this girl?" Dew panted as they watched her round another corner.

"I don't know. The Olympics?" Aether did his best to keep up with his slender teammate, but he was slowing down. The girl ducked into the confessional booth just as Aether slowed his pace to a walk, insisting Dew keep running. They all knew that there was no exit from that corridor, so the girl decided to wait until the ghouls passed her before jumping out and running back the other way. She sat silently as Dew ran right passed her - never the brightest of ghouls. She was growing tired of beating the boys at their own game, after the two hours she had spent simply lying behind the couch. When she saw Aether approaching, his chest heaving, she decided it was time to end the game. At the perfect moment, she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him into the confessional.

"Dew she's in-" The girl threw her hand over her boyfriends mouth quickly.

"I'm sick of playing manhunt. Why don't we play a different game?" Aether nodded and she took her hand off his mouth, pulling him into a deep kiss. Sure, she did want the satisfaction of beating the boys, but this was much more entertaining.

"What?" They heard Dew running back towards them and Aether poked his head out of the booth.

"She ran the other way again. Little viper, too damn fast. I'm sure you can catch her though."

"Got it, beefy." Dew continued running.

"Shouldn't we tell him the game is over?" The girl giggled.

"Oh Lucifer no. If I end up finding the last person, we just let Dew keep looking. It keeps him busy and out of our hair until we either tell him or he finds us outside." Aether sat down on the bench and pulled the girl onto his lap, kissing her passionately. "Let's just hope he doesn't find us."
