A Short History

Remember back in the previous moment when I (Collin) stumbled across SwingAxe? Yeah, I've got a whole lot to explain, don't I?

There are four basic elements with corresponding elementals, fire, water, earth, and wind or air. There are also "sub-elementals", or the more complex elementals that are not basic. Take me for example. I am the current elemental for lightning. Hopefully you guessed that we incarnate as a new being after the previous passes on, because you're right! Unless you didn't guess that.

Johnathin and I are special. Johnny (I'm shortening his name now) was the first elemental to use a physical weapon. Now, you may wonder, doesn't everyone use a weapon? The answer is: a majority of elementals don't use physical weapons. They rely on their elemental powers, since they are believed to overpower any object, but I used to have an armor made of steel. Since I am the lightning element, I don't affect metals that much; however, it will eventually ionize and lose electrons. It will rust and eventually oxidize significantly faster. That was a ridiculously huge inconvenience and kind of supports the saying and tradition. Johnathin said that he had trouble focusing his power, and was more of a modifier type. He originally had two weapons, a hammer and axe, which he eventually accidentally fused into SwingAxe, a powerful weapon that could act like Stormbreaker and switch between a hammer and axe depending on the user's choice.

Johnny left me a guide that he created back when he passed the peak of his power as an elemental. He was willing to give away his knowledge, knowing that his powers would be passed on to a newer generation, me. He wanted to be able to teach the next incarnate, but the powers only transfer once the elemental's life force dies out, leading to their ultimate death. That's where the guide came in. It was the only way to teach the next incarnate. He created a time-space that would be accessible once the next incarnate reached a certain level of power. I happened to find it and learn everything he left behind.

His torch and teachings should have passed onto me, if not that woman had destroyed it.

Now, this brings the other significances in me.

First: I also use a physical weapon.
Second: I am the first elemental to wield a keyblade.
Third: I am the first elemental to wield two keyblades consecutively.
Fourth: I am the first *ahem* second elemental to utilize dimensional powers without the help of another person.
Fifth: I am the fastest element to have developed my abilities.

I gained my dimensional powers from the most recent Water element, Elena, who was killed in a war back when I was 9 trying to protect me from a plasmatic blast.

I should probably explain what a keyblade is.
Keyblades are mysterious weapons that share a link with their owners. Keyblades can be used as weapons and as a means of locking and unlocking anything, be it doors, chests, or links to worlds. Some keyblades have been known to even unlock the darkness to peoples hearts. Keyblades have the ability to change in appearance simply by changing the "key chain" at the bottom of the keyblade. Very little else is known about these tools except they choose there own masters and only choose those with strong hearts.

Makes sense, right? (Skip to next chapter)
Looking to know even more? (Good luck with that...)
No? (Continue reading)
*sigh*

Ok, so what I'm trying to say is that elementals like me normally rely on their elemental powers for combat. Johnny and I also use physical weapons. Johnny is the first to have communicated in some form with the next incarnate of an elemental. I and special and wield two keyblades that can lock, unlock, and whack anything. We are special, we are the only two like the way we are.
