3rd Person POV

[In Duel Academy, JP (Fusion) is walking next to Celina]

Celina: It's happening tonight. Are you in?

JP: I'm your boyfriend. Wherever you go, I go.

[Celina smiles and gives JP a kiss]

Celina: That's what I thought. I just wanted to hear you say it.

JP: I'll see at the meeting point at the scheduled time. I might be a little late. Barrett could handle hand that and cover for me.

Barrett: I can do that.

JP: Good. I'll see you tonight. I have something that I have to do.

[JP walks over to the place where Lulu and Rin have been kept. They both are in sperate rooms. He is stopped by the guards]

JP: Let me through.

Guard: The Chancellor has ordered that no one can see the prisoners.

JP: I have different authority. Now move.

[The guards let JP through. JP approaches Lulu first. Lulu sees him and runs to see him]

Lulu: JP (XYZ)? How did you get here?

JP: I'm sorry but I'm not the JP that you're looking for. I am the one who captured you.

Lulu: Then leave me alone. I have nothing to say to you. You destroyed our home!

JP: I'm sorry that I had to that. They were my orders. But I'm here to rescue you.

Lulu: Why?

JP: I know the Chancellor's plan. I don't like it. I will do anything to stop it and he needs you. I won't let him have you. I will help you escape.

Lulu: Fine. I'll trust you.

JP: I'll be right back. I have to help someone else too.

[JP walks over to Rin's cell. Rin runs over to him and hugs him]

Rin: JP (Synchro)! I knew you would save me!

JP: I'm sorry but I'm not the JP that you're looking for. I'm the one who captured you.

Rin: Then stay away from me!

JP: I'm helping you escape.

Rin: Why?

JP: I didn't like the idea of capturing you. Now I want to make it right.

[JP hands Rin a duel disk]

Rin: What will this do.

JP: This will send you to the Standard Dimension. I wish I could explain but there is no time. This is what you need to do...

[Suddenly an alarm goes off. Guards surround Rin's cell]

Guard: JP, you've been branded a traitor and are now under arrest.

[JP turns to Rin]

JP: I'm sorry.

[JP throws a smoke bomb and runs away. He passes Lulu's cell]

Lulu: Where are you going? You said you would help me!

[JP hands her a duel disk]

JP: I'm sorry about this.

[JP presses a button on the Duel Disk which teleports Lulu to the standard dimension. Meanwhile, Rin quickly activated her duel disk and teleported out as well. JP runs towards where Celina and Barrett are. He is stopped by Yuri]

Yuri: Decided to turn traitor, JP?

JP: I don't have time for you.

Yuri: You want to get past me then duel me.

JP: Yuri, as your rival, please do me this favor and throw everyone off my trail.

Yuri: Fine. Only this once. When I'm ordered to defeat you, I will.

JP: I hope to never see you again,Yuri.

Yuri: In your dreams.

[JP meets Celina and Barrett]

Celina: What did you do?

JP: It's okay. Yuri said that he'll throw them off our trail.

Celina: You trust him to do that?

JP: He owed me a favor. Let's leave.

[JP, Celina, and Barrett end up in the Standard Dimension where they're met by Declan. Barrett challenges Declan to a duel]

Barrett: My orders were to watch and protect Celina. That's exactly what I'll do.

JP: I'm here to do the same, Barrett. Then let me duel him.

Barrett: Nonsense. You're the top duelist of Duel Academy. You shouldn't bother yourself with easy duels. Let me take care of it.

JP: Fine.

[Declan easily defeats Barrett]

Declan: Well. Well. Well. Looks like I have more people who look like one another.

JP: Declan.

Declan: Very nice for you to remember me, JP (Fusion).

JP: What do you want, Declan?

Declan: I want you to join me and stopping my father. You of all people know that what he's doing is wrong.

Celina: I'm sorry. But JP and I aren't here to help you out. He's here to help me prove my worth to the Chancellor.

Declan: You have a decision to make, JP (Fusion).

Celina: There is no decision. He's coming with me. Wherever I go, he goes. Let's go, JP (Fusion).

[Celina and JP (Fusion) walk away. Back in the Fusion Dimension. The Chancellor has ordered Sora to retrieve Celina and bring her back then kill JP (Fusion) for being a traitor. The finals of the championship have begun. It's now a battle Royal. JP (Original) knows that everything is going to get very interesting]
