chapter twenty one

James POV

The doctor only allows 2 visitors at a time so Jude and kalisha went in, I walked out of the building and stood there, I took out my packet of cigarettes and took one, light it up and stood there, the day was already dark.
What was on my mind was what kalisha said earlier, I don't understand Kamaria's pain but I can see how hurt she is maybe I wasn't paying attention to her from the months passing, I'll try my best to keep her safe.

Jude came out carrying a sleepy kalisha,
" hey man!, she's tired, we'll be heading home, Mark was inside her room but I think he's already gone by now" I nodded my head and walked passed then going into her room.
She was there with some wire's attached to her body, she was a little pale, her sking was not glowing like before but she was still beautiful to me.
I sat on the chair beside her bed, I took her hand in mine caressing it,
" I don't know if you're hearing me, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for my behavior and that scared you away, I don't know why I was like that but I felt the need to protect you because you were with a stranger, I'm really sorry for what I did" I looked at her then kissed her forehead then rested my head on her thigh and closed my eyes.

I heard the bipping of the monitor accelerating, I woke up immediately and saw her face, then I knew she was having her nightmares, I got up and went to her ear level then caressing her hair,
" Fuck! Kamaria you need to listen to me" she was frowning and her breathing was becoming fast,
" hey it's me Kamaria, listen to my voice, I'm her with you, it's going to be all fine" she started crying but the monitor was at a  normal rate. Some nurses came in and told me to leave the room, I signed because I knew that arguing with them it's unnecessary.
I waited outside the room, and as the nurses came out I went inside.
I think she was still sleeping and now she was ok. I checked what time is it and I saw that it was 3:00am, I signed and sat down on the sit I sat on before. I held her just like I did before and rested my head on her thigh and I closed my eyes.

Kamaria's POV

Everything in me was hurting, I heard noises from afar but I knew they were close, I still had the worst nightmare but I couldn't move any of my muscles, until I heard James voice and I was concentrating on that to calm my self down, I felt so powerless, I had no control over my body and I was wondering why. The smell in the room told me I was not at home,
The it hits me, I remembered what happened, I was in the shower and I think I fainted or something. oh God I can't even imagine the fear I put kali on.

After a while I had a little strength so I tried opening my eyes thinking that I'll be blinded by the sun but no, it was all dark, I felt a weight on my thigh, I turned my head and saw James there sleeping, I signed in relief knowing I was not hallucinating when I heard his voice, he held my arm and I tightened my grip on him then removed my hand and rested it on his hair and caressed it, he shifted a little the he opened his eyes.
" hey" I said softly, my throat hurts because I was dehydrate, he smiled and held my hand again,
" You're awake" he then closed his eyes, I think he realised I was really awake and he stood up quickly and stared at me with wide eyes,
" oh Fuck you're awake!!" He then ran out screaming doctor to come to my room.
The doctor came smiling,
" Hello miss Kamaria how are you?" He said checking my body temperature and pulse,
" water" I croaked out, James came in already with the water and helped me,
" here we go, you good?" I nodded and looked at the doctor writing something on his clip board,
"Ok miss I can see you are a Fighter usually patience fall into coma the next day,I want to keep you here for the day so that we can monitor you health". I nodes again and he left.
I looked at James and saw him talking to someone on the phone, he saw me staring and he then ended the call and came up to me,
" how are you?" I just looked at him I knew he had another question to ask but it's avoiding it.
" James just ask me the real question you want to ask me and stop being a pussy, I'm not going to cry because you asked me a question so go on ask!" I said already annoyed, he face became hard but I was unaffected,
" Did you try to kill your self?" I looked at him blankly and then I snorted then smiled,
" well if you think that low of me it's fine, what happened yes was an accident, I would never in a million kill my self because I'm not that type of person, I'm not that weak you know!, so no I did"
He signed the said,
" ok I'm sorry I doubted you" he said softly,
" so can you tell me what really happened and why you didn't answer my calls?"
" I came home from my date, slept, woke up, eat, cleaned the house, fell asleep, argued with kali, went to the shower to cool my self down I suddenly become weak I just stayed there crying my eyes out the I think I dented or something".
" ok, kali will be coming soon and you're coming home with me"  then he left like that not even hearing my answer.

There was a knock on the door before I saw a crying kali,
" my baby is awake, I fucking missed youth!!!" She said while running to me and jumping on the bed hugging me tightly, I laughed and said,
" but you saw me yesterday!!" Still laughing Kali started crying harder,
" bitch I almost lost my best friend and your telling me you saw me today!" She was crying like a  baby which made everyone laughed at her while I held her tight,
" ok I'm so sorry I didn't mean for what happened yesterday I promise I'll never leave you, you know me!" I said smiling wildly.
" hahaha yeah I know who you are, I'm happy you're awake though".

The rest guys came in and we talk the whole day, it was really fun staying all together getting to know each other. It was now very late so everyone left except James,
" James you can go home now I'm ok and awake, go and have some rest you really need it and thanks for keeping me company, you have school in the morning" I said staring at him as he was typing on his phone
" no I'm staying so now sleep" he said not looking at me,
" if you're not living I'm not sleeping simple" I said with annoyance,
" Kamaria please just sleep I'm ok here I promise I will go away early in the morning and come back to get you" I looked at him and shook my head,
" ok fine so come here" he looked at me with a brow raised, I motioned for him to come and I shifted to one side of the hospital bed so that he could sleep there.
He walked to the other side of the bed and came close to me, he lied beside me and I rested my head on  his chest the he started massaging my scalp and I closed my eyes.
" good night baby" said James kissing my head,
" mmmh" I whispered already half asleep.
