The Malfoy family were all rich gits and prejudiced snobs, or that's how they were described as by the likes of the Weasley, Longbottom, Abbot, Goldstein and many more families, whether it was to their faces or behind their backs. But, did anyone really know the Malfoys properly, or did they just take what they saw from the outside.
Many would say that they were prejudiced through and through and were cruel to those they considered 'blood traitors' and 'mudbloods', and it was true they were. They did judge someone for their blood status and they used vulgar words to describe the aforementioned people. They may also use their name and position to get what they want, after all they were one of the Noble Twenty-Eight, as were all of their relatives.
Polaris Malfoy was a peculiar one to be in the Malfoy family, she didn't at all look like any of her brothers, and she didn't remotely look like her parents either. While they all sported white, also considered silver, hair, she had long ebony hair. While they all either had bright blue or grey piercing eyes, she had one chocolate brown eye that was welcoming and warm, and her other eye was a icy silver colour. If you looked at herself and her twin brother, Atticus Malfoy, you wouldn't be able to tell they were twins.
Another reason as to why Polaris was considered peculiar to be a Malfoy, was the fact that she was not in the Slytherin House, like all her family before her had been and just like her brothers are. Many would've thought that the Malfoys would disown her, as just being sorted into a house other than Slytherin - you were considered to be a Blood Traitor, but they did not disown her. Even Polaris herself was surprised that she wasn't disowned and burnt off the Family tapestry.
Many of the other wizarding families wondered why they didn't disown her for being in a different house, they wondered why they acted as though nothing was different. As they all knew, if that was to be anyone else, they would be disowned straight away, but not Polaris. They also wondered what made her different to any other Malfoy, other than her appearance. It was like Polaris Malfoy was an enigma, a riddle, a puzzle. One that left everyone wondering just how to solve it.
