L tries to chuck me out the window.

I don't think I can cope with what happens in this chapter. Enjoy, kiddos.

L and I live in a basement now.

Watari came and found me here one day and almost had a heart attack.

Fortunately, the basement is quite big and has a window.

So I'm happy...

Because the bed is nice and I can sleep all day.

But I wish I could go outside...

It's now February.

So it's been a month since I was reunited with L.

"Please please please can we go somewhere!"

"No."

"What if you wear a mask?"

"Then I'd look like a criminal."

Oh...

"What if we just walk around in the EMPTY countryside?"

L sighs wearily. "Lola, it's no good. I can't leave here..."

"WHYYYYYYYY?"

L frowns. "For weeks all you've done is complain about not being able to go outside..." he says in a murmur. "Are you sure you don't want to leave?"

"NO!" I shriek. "I NEED TO BE WITH YOU!"

"But..."

"I'd rather die than leave here..." I say in a deadly serious voice.

L raises a few eyebrows.

"Besides, I'm complaining for you."

"You are?"

"Yes!" I tap his smol nose. "These are your inner grievances..."

L, who is used to my strangeness, shrugs and opens a window.

"Better?"

"No! It's not the same!" I whine.

L rolls his eyes and scoops me up in his arms.

wOah!

He brings me over to the window and pretends to throw me.

I scream and cling on to him. "DON'T CHUCK ME OUT THE WINDOW I'M PREGNANT!!!"

L sort of almost drops me on the floor.

"I'm deadly serious!"

He stares at me in shock. "It's alright..."

L looks like he's seriously doubting himself.

I've always wanted his children...

But not right now!

Oh dear...

At least I finally told him.

"L, I'm going to be nine months in January, and I'll have to be in America with Nate or Mihael by then," I say worriedly.

He places me with such care onto the bed you'd think I'm made of glass.

Then L just sits on his armchair and stares at me while biting his nail.

I hope he's ok...

I sit up and grab a hairbrush. "Your hair looks like a wild hedgehog," I say. "Can I brush it?"

L shakes his head slowly.

I step off the bed and wriggle in behind him on the armchair and begin to drag the brush through his matted unruly tufts of darkness.
