When you find your soulmate your irises turn pink

this can only happen when you turn 18 tho

Jungkook and Taehyung have been best friends since 2nd grade

they do everything together

Even though Tae is 2 years older, they still are very close and enjoy many of the same things.

One day after school, Tae was waiting for Jungkook at their spot so he could walk him home. 

While he waited, he talked with his friend from science

"So the project is due Monday right?"

"Yeah. It sucks that we have to work on it over break though."

"I know right?"

Tae spots Jungkook walking their way.

"Tae!?! Your irises are pink! Who is it?! Who's your soulmate?!?"

Tae quickly slips on a pair of sunglasses from his bag.

"It's no one."

"I don't believe you!"

"Hey look, I've got to go walk Jungkook home okay? Don't tell anyone about this. Not yet."

"You got it, man!"

"Alright, good."

He meets up with Jungkook and they start walking down the street.

"Hyung, why are you wearing sunglasses? It's not that bright out."

"I um"

He really hated lying to Jungkook

"I went to the eye doctors so my eyes are really sensitive."

"Oh, okay!"

 They arrived at Jungkook's house.

"Bye, hyung!"

"Bye Jungkook."

Tae trudged home with a heavy heart.

How was he going to tell Jungkook that they were soulmates?

Would Jungkook accept him?

Should he just wait out the 2 years until Jungkook found out himself?

No

He couldn't wear sunglasses for two years.

He had to tell Jungkook.

Tomorrow. He thought to himself. I'll do it tomorrow.

*The next day after school*

Taehyung had trusted Namjoon enough to tell him about the situation

"You're going to tell him right?"

"Of course. I have to."

"Mhm"

"But how? I can't just be like 'I know we're best friends, but now were soulmates please don't hate me.'"

"Just tell him straight out. Or don't tell him, show him. Looks like your lovers here, I'm gonna go. Good luck."

"Thanks, I'm gonna need it."

He walks beside Jungkook 

Neither of them say anything until they are down the street from Jungkooks house.

"I have to tell you something- or show you something- or both"

His voice is raspy and deep

"What is it?"

Tae reached up and took off his sunglasses

Jungkook remains silent for a long time, staring at Tae's eyes.

"Please say something"

"When did you know?"

"Yesterday"

"So you didn't go to the eye doctors?"

Tae shakes his head and looks at his shoes.

Jungkook places his hands on Tae's cheeks and lifts his head

"No, look at me. I want to see them"

Jungkook continues to staring into Jungkook's eyes

More silence passes

"What do we do now?"

"This."

Jungkook closes his eyes before gently pressing his mouth against Tae's lips, surprising him

After a few seconds, Tae responds and wraps his arms around Jungkook's waist and deepening the kiss.

Both of them pull away, breathing heavily with swollen lips

"Wow I didn't  think you knew how to kiss like that, Kookie"

His cheeks redden and Junkook hides his face in Tae's T-shirt

This causes Tae to laugh even more.

Suddenly the front door to Jungkooks house opens and his mom steps onto the porch. 

"You better be giving me grandkids!!"
