Foggy's POV

"You're going to get yourself killed if you keep this up. You know, that right?" I asked the two of them while Luna helped Matt re-wrap his dressings.

"I can take care of myself?" Matt answered me as if he was not torn up at the moment.

"What about the rest of us? Me, Karen, hell even Luna. We're a part of this how, because of you. And we didn't get a say in that." I told him.

"What do you think gonna happen if I give up now, Foggy? Who's going to stop Fisk?" He asked me.

"Oh, I don't know...the law." I answered him.

"Tell that to Elena." Luna told me.

"If you could have put on a mask and prevented what happened to her. You're telling me you wouldn't have?" Matt asked me.

"Its not fair, Matt." I told him.

"We don't live in a world that's fair." He responded; Luna seemed to agree with him because she was shaking her head in agreement.

"We live in this one. And I'm doing everything I can to make it a better place." He said trying to get me to understand his point of view.

"A better place." I snapped at him as I stood up in frustration. "That kind of sounds like what Fisk keeps saying."

"He's nothing like Fisk!" Luna said as she shot up and yelled back at me. Sometimes I forget how close the two of them are. The three of us claim to be best friends but they have none each other long before I met Matt. In this moment I realized Luna would always pick Matt over me.

"Don't say that. Don't twist it around." Matt said pulling my attention back to him.

"You tried to kill him Matt. You told me yourself. How is that any different than the way he solves problems?" I asked him and I don't know what I said but Luna started pacing as if she was trying to hold in her temper but was about to explode.

"I made a mistake. I know that." He responded.

"Misspelling Hanukkah is a mistake. Attempted murder is a little something else. You ever stop to think what would happen if you went to jail? Or worse? You really think that anyone would believe that I didn't know what you were doing?" I asked him and his eyes started tearing up and his lips started quivering as if the thought really hurt him.

I almost felt bad for him but then I remembered why we were fighting to begin with.

"This city needs me in that mask, Foggy." He told me and I did not know if that was true or if he just wanted it to be.

"Maybe your right. Maybe it does" I told him as I started to tear up at the thought of his putting himself in danger again "But I don't. I only ever needed my friend. I would have kept this from you, Matt. Not from you." I told him.

"But from me. So, am I off the hock?" Luna asked perking up a little pit hopping I was more mad at Matt then her.

"What is wrong with you? This is not a joke! This is serious!" I yelled at her, she was always joking.

"No, your making it a bigger deal then it has to be. So why don't the two of you kiss and make up so I can stop watching two grown men cuss and cry because one lied to the other." She said to me and could not take this anymore.

The two of them where helpless and truly deserved each other.

"Foggy." I heard Matt calling after me as I walked away.

"Sit down." I heard Luna telling Matt as he tried to follow me as I closed the back door behind me.
