Chapter 5

Kaitlyn's POV

My face hurts and my nose is bleeding. Why me? Just with my luck Melinda or "mom" walks in.

"She's probably been with that blonde loser again, what's his name Rucker," Melinda snapped.

"His name is Riker and he's not a loser he's the greatest guy on earth," I yell getting a shocked expression from them both.

"Do not yell at your mother," Bill spits. He then walks over to me and kicks me in the stomach twice. Then he lifts me up and slaps me a across the face.

"You're lucky I'm tired and this is all your getting," He whisper yells before he lets go of my shirt.

He and Melinda go up to their room slamming the door behind them. I try to stand out I collapse to the ground.

I lay there in pain for a few minutes before I try to stand again. Finally I can stand I carefully walk up to my room and close the door.

I get out my phone and text Riker.

Kaitlyn: You there?

Riker: What's up

Kaitlyn: Just need someone nice to talk to :(

Riker: What's wrong ?

Kaitlyn: They beat me again, well my dad did all of the beating

Riker: I wish you would tell the police this stuff :(

Kaitlyn: I'm too scared

Riker: I know but still

Kaitlyn: New topic How's your family?

Riker: Good everyone is still annoying :)

Kaitlyn: LoL just like you

Riker: I'm not annoying I'm adorable

Kaitlyn: Yeah right you're not adorable you're cute

Riker: Same thing

Kaitlyn: Whatever :D

Riker: Im tired I'm going to bed :)

Kaitlyn: Ugh Fine Goodnight Rikey PooPookinz :)

Riker: Goodnight Kit-Kat :)
