Toni's POV
I like Cheryl- Of course I like Cheryl. Who wouldn't?
She's absolutely amazing. She's cute and smart and has an amazing personality.
I absolutely adore her.
But I adored Peaches too.
Peaches- my ex girlfriend, I loved her, she didn't love me. She loved hitting me and using me, but that's about it.
"Hey TT," Cher says sitting next to me
I don't know why she even likes me. I'm shy and I sit with the serpents and she's popular and hates the south side.
"Hey Cheryl," I say closing my physics
"I was wondering if you would like to come to Pops with me tonight?" She says
"Like on a date?" I ask
"I was hoping so," she says
"Oh uh y-yeah, I would love to,"
"Pick me up at 7?" She asks
"Uh ya sure,"
"You're cute, I have to go to cheer- but I'll see you tonight Tones,"
She kisses my cheek and walks towards Veronica who was waiting at the door. They laugh and cheer and Veronica waves at me.
I go back to homework and my brothers come in
"Tiny, did I hear you have a date with a certain red head?" Fangs asks
"Who told you?" I groan
They're twins, a year older than me and they're SO annoying.
"Lodge,"
"Of course she did," I sigh "yes we have a date but I'm probably going to cancel,"
"Why would you cancel? Cheryl is hot," Pea says
"Plus she really likes you Toni,"
"I thought that about peaches too but I was wrong and I paid deeply for that," I say shaking my head "I'm not ready yet, I like her a lot, but if it's one sided I won't get through it,"
"Toni, you can't think about that," Fangs says
I nod and finish my chemistry.
"Go get ready for you're date kiddo," Pea says ruffling my hair
"BRO! Stop touching my hair!" I say fixing it
I drive home and shower and blow dry my hair.
What do I even wear?
After several minutes I decide on ripped jeans, flannel around my waist, leather jacket, and band t shirt.
And then I change my mind
I put on a black skirt, red leather jacket, and a black tube top.
I drive to Cheryl's house and knock on her door.
"Hey Toni, I'm so sorry, I'm almost ready- come in," Cheryl says opening the door
I nod and walk in. She runs back up the stairs and I look around. It's like a castle. It's very dark though.
"I'm so sorry, V did my hair and took her sweet time," she says
"It's alright Cher," I laugh
"You look hot," she says checking me out
I blush and look at the ground.
"You look amazing," I say gathering myself again
"You drive motorcycles?"
"You knee that blossom, don't act so surprised,"
"I've only ever seen your brothers driving," she counters
"Oh uh ya," I laugh "we only have two bikes and they're older. I'm a good driver though, don't worry,"
"I'm not wearing a helmet,"
"Yes you are," I laugh "no way I'm letting you get on without it,"
"I better not get helmet hair," she says
"I'm sure it'll look cute anyways," I say doing the helmet up
I help her on the bike and sit down.
"Hold on tight,"
She puts her arms around my waist and when I accelerate she tightens her grip.
I make it to Pops and we sit down on the same side of the back booth.
"You're a lot shyer than I thought you were," she says
"Oh uh ya I tend to be," I say with a laugh
"I was never shy,"
"I can tell," I laugh
She rolls her eyes and laughs
"Funny Topaz," She says "anyways, do you have any other siblings other than dumb and dumber?"
"I like that," I say laughing at her nicknames for Pea and Fangs
"Sorry, it's what Veronica calls them," she says embarrassed
"No it's fitting," I laugh "I also have a little sister, she's 9,"
"Awe what's her name?" Cher asks
"Ruby," I say "how's Jason?"
"He loves boarding school," she sighs "coming home for summer though,"
"That's good,"
"Ya I miss him but he's way safer there,"
We talk about school and stuff for a while.
"Toni, I was wondering if you'd like to be my girlfriend?" She asks
I half panic. I don't know what to do.
"Oh uh.." I panic before calming down "yes I would like to be your girlfriend,"
She smiles and kisses my cheek.
"You seem timid, I don't want to pressure you," she says
"No no, I really like you, but my last relationship didn't end well,"
"Wanna talk about it?"
"You know Peaches?"
"The bitch that tries to make fun of me and veronica?" She asks "very familiar,"
"Well we dated for a few months last year. Very one sided, I liked her and she liked... having sex with me and beating me up," I say looking at my hands "It crushed me when I figured out she really didn't like me,"
"Tones, that's terrible," she gasps "I'm so sorry that happened to you,"
"I'm sure she'll end up telling you I'm a whore- but I wasn't ready for sex and I told her that,"
"So she forced you?" Cher asks
I nod and have a tear fall down my cheek.
"Never mind, it's ancient history now, I'm fine,"
"Babe no, it's alright to still be wary of relationships," she says "I was assaulted at a party a few months back and it took me a while to open up about it,"
"Who? I'll kill them,"
"Archie Andrews pretty much did that already," she laughs "I'm alright,"
"I didn't start talking about it until Pea asked me about my bruises and notified I couldn't play with Ruby anymore because I was in pain,"
"I'm not like that Toni, I wouldn't do that- ever," she says "I promise,"
"I know C," I laugh "I know you wouldn't,"
I kiss her and she slips her hands into my hair.
"You're a good kisser," she says
I laugh and so does she.
I drive her home and promise to meet at her locker in the morning.
...
I'm leaning against Cheryl's locker waiting for her to show up.
I thought blossoms were supposed to always be on time.
"I'm so sorry Toni," she says storming towards me "but Veronica bought you a Starbucks, she's on her way. I left her with the drinks,"
She kisses my cheek and I move so she can unlock her locker.
"Babe calm down, it's not that big of a deal,"
"I know but I was late last night too," she sighs "and Veronica is the reason for both,"
"Then I'll be mad at Veronica,"
"No don't, she's good,"
"I know Cher it was a joke," I laugh "I like Veronica, she's in my English,"
She grabs her books and I back her into the closed locker
"What are you doing Topaz?" She smirks
"I missed you,"
I kiss her and she smiles.
"I think we're going to be a clingy couple," she giggles
"Oh I know we are," I laugh
"Okay Topaz hands off Cheryl's ass," Veronica says "it's not even 8 o clock,"
"Shut up Veronica," Cheryl laughs
Veronica hands Cheryl a yellow ish drink and hands me a pink/purple one.
"Thank you," I say looking at the weird drink
"Sorry babe, I didn't know what you drink," Cher says "and we both agreed on the pink,"
"It makes sense because of your hair," she says
"Cher what's in this?" I ask looking at it
"Who knows? Don't think about it,"
I take a sip
"This is pure sugar and caffeine," I say
"Yes it is," she says
I walk her to class and peck her lips.
"See you at lunch?" She asks
"Of course baby,"
"Don't worry about anything, I'm here, I promise,"
"I know C,"
I kiss her cheek and walk to Chemistry.
Chem goes fine and so does biology.
On my way to lunch peaches and her "girl gang" stop me.
"Hey slut," she says backing me into a locker
"Peaches, would love to chat but I can't,"
"I heard you have a new, pretty girl toy," she says shoving me into a locker
"Um ya me and Cher are dating," I gulp
She slaps me and I shove her backwards.
"Leave me alone Peaches,"
"Why? You don't want me to tell you're girlfriend you're a whore? Or I guess it doesn't matter since she's obviously a slut if she's with you,"
"Shut the hell up Peaches,"
"What you don't like me saying you're girls a slut,"
I punch her in the face and shove her.
Her girl gang shoved me against the lockers
"Hey toxic triplets and slimy smurfette- you wanna let my girlfriend go?" Cher asks
"Why would I?"
Veronica pulls a blade and peaches and her gang runs away.
"Badass Lodge," I say calming down
"Baby are you okay?"
"I'm fine C," I smile "I'm done with her, I have you now,"
