"Bad bad news,

one of us is gonna lose"

[ C o l b y ]
I woke up feeling upset and stressed, since Sam wouldn't be with me. It actually gave me anxiety. He was basically my only friend, meaning I wouldn't have anyone to talk to today.

I eventually got out of bed and went to my closet, picking out clothes.

Once I had my clothes gathered, I started getting dressed.

I put my shoes on, and slowly walked out of the house. The only good thing about Sam not being at school is, I didn't have to rush to get to school before he had breakdown.

I got a text, which I didn't expect.

Sam: hi, I hope you're safely walking right now. I can't see you since I'm stuck at home, but just let me know when you arrive to school.

Me: okay. :)

I turned off my phone, and stuffed my hands into my pockets. I sighed and looked at the sky.

I almost tripped over a rock, but I caught myself. Not going to lie, I freaked out. Not for my safety, but the safety of my phone.

I let out a sigh of relief when I had caught myself before I fell to the floor.

I arrived to school pretty quickly, probably because I wasn't worried about getting there so quickly.

My breath hitched when I saw that one student from yesterday. How come he didn't get in trouble?it made me kind of upset, but it's probably just because he didn't hit Sam back. School is so stupid, to be honest.

I suddenly remembered I had to text Sam.

Me: I'm at school

Sam: okay good. Text me at lunch too, and tell me how everything is going.

Me: okay

Sam sounded like an overprotected parent but it kind of made butterflies appear in my stomach knowing someone cared about me THAT much.

Not even my parents care about me as much as Sam did, and I didn't know how to feel about it.

Luckily, the student didn't see me so I was able to get past him, but it still made me nervous not having Sam here.

I walked to first period and groaned when I remembered no one would be sitting next to me since Sam isn't
here.

I looked out the window Sam usually did, and all I saw was a simple tree and nothing else. I always wondered why he always looked outside.
