Percy's POV

After getting the paperwork sorted out, I moved in with Nick. He had a condo-like house with 2 spare rooms. Nick went to take a call as soon as we got in, so I went to my room. It had pale blue walls, wooden flooring and a nicer bed than my old apartment, the orphanage, even camp. There was something on the floor beside the bed. I frowned at a wooden box. It was probably something of Nick's. I shouldn't look – although. I felt myself being drawn towards it. I crouched down beside the box. It had a note inside and a packet of something golden.

Drachmas, I thought. Who knew to give me these? How did they find me? I haven't told anyone about what's been going on. Not even Annabeth. I had no way of contacting her. I opened the note and found it was in Ancient Greek.

"Percy, I feel great loss for the death of Sally. I loved your mother very much. I give you the advice that you live a full life, it may end at any moment. Your friend knows this. Trust him, Perseus.

-Your father.

PS, I hope these will help in the future."

I smiled down at the letter sadly. Footsteps approached. I shoved the box underneath my bed and put the letter in my pocket. Nick emerged from the doorway.

"You alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, fine." I replied cheerfully.

"so, school? When are you up for that?" Nick asked, coming to sit next to me. I groaned lightly and heard him laugh. "Guessing it's not your strong point."

"I've got a reputation of getting kicked out. Not sure where you'll put me." I admitted. He took a minute to think.

"I'll find a place. But tell me you'll try." Nick said.

"I will." I promised.

Time Skip to before Titan's curse

I ran downstairs. I had just gotten a call from Grover, well Iris Message. He needed me, Annabeth and Thalia at a high school dance as soon as possible. Powerful demigods, monster, needs help. That's all I needed to know.

I got downstairs with my bag when a voice stopped my in my tracks. "Hold up." Nick said calmly. I turned around to meet his gaze, my hand remaining inches from the door handle. "Where're you off to?"

I gave a nervous grin. "I, uh I'm meeting a friend." I lied. Gods, how do I think to lie to a highly trained agent?

Nick stood there; arms crossed. a sigh played out his mouth. I felt a little guilty for lying but I had no way of explaining. "You know you can't lie to me, right? This like those missions you mentioned?" I nodded sheepishly. "Should I expect some disruptions in a certain location?" I pursed my lips, gave it a thought. Monster, demigods, me. yeah good chance.

"Probably. It's a school dance." I explained. "Nick, I'd love to explain but I'm just not allowed." He nodded. Nick put a hand on my shoulder.

"go on. Just come back to me." He asked.

"I will."

Time Skip to right after the quest

I stood in front of the door. A light was on, showing me, he was inside. I attempted to open the door but found it was locked. I patted my pockets for a key that was not there. sighing I knocked. A click came from the lounge room where the light was on, it was pretty late at night too. A man I didn't know opened the door, an arm behind his back where I assumed his gun was.

"Who're you?" I asked. "Where's Nick?" he blinked at my question. I stepped forward, causing him to tense. "I asked you a question. Where is he?"

"And just who do you think you are, kid?" the man asked. he wore a suit, had far eyes and was short.

"Percy Jackson. For the last time where is Nick?" I said, getting angry. He flinched at my glare but only those who noticed the little details would realise. He stood his ground and didn't move. No word was set to come out his mouth. So, I punched him – hard. He stumbled back. I took this as a chance to run in. He called out but I went to the lounge where Nick stood, gun aimed. He went wide eyed when he saw me, lowed his gun.

"Percy." He said. The other man came back with a purple jaw. "Stand down Coulson. I know him."

"What the Hades was that about Nick?" I asked, annoyed.

"Well I was in the middle of a very important meeting Percy." He said, emphasising on the word important. "And how was I supposed to know it was you?"

"Who else calls you Nick?" I questioned.

"Where were you?" he said to change the subject.

"Mission. Didn't go as planned." I said. He looked at me, studying me.

"Get some rest. We'll talk more in a few days," he said. "I've got to go."

I went upstairs to my room. this house, well more like condo, was pretty nice. it was quite big, had a nice room. Nick didn't do much with the place to I decided to. It was a good home. I went straight to my bed, sighing deeply as I laid down on my back. Then suddenly an iris message appeared.

"Percy! Over here." Annabeth called. I sat up straight.

"Annabeth, hey. What's up?" I asked. My voice was groggy but hers was too.

"I was thinking about what you said, about choosing the prophecy." She said. "But you look really out of it so I should just – "

"Annabeth wait." I said. She paused. "I mentioned that I was staying with a man. Well he's mortal, and I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up." Her blonde hair whipped backwards from a side window.

"Percy, if you trust him then you should tell him." Annabeth said. "He's gonna be a big part of your life now. You should trust him with this." I looked up a bit more.

"Really?" I asked. she nodded. "thanks, I'll think about it. And you're not changing my mind about the prophecy Annabeth. I'm not letting anyone else take that weight." Then I swiped through the message. I could've sworn I had heard someone's footsteps, but I was too tired to realise or care. I fell asleep.

Oooh, did Nick hear something? Is he going to find out Percy's secret? Is anyone actually reading this story?
