Son Of Nick Fury (Percy Jackson x Avengers)

The tests, check-up and avoiding flashbacks

I'm going on a trip next Wednesday to London but I'm not really looking forward to it. I think it'll be rather boring.

Bruce: 

Fury left, but not before telling us we could give him a proper medical evaluation. For some reason, Fury asked me personally to do a mental test on Percy. I agreed obviously but still wondered why he'd request that.

Once we left the room, Tony asked Jarvis to record their conversation. Now Percy sat alone in the room waiting.

I went in and checked his eyes and ears. Percy's eyes were guarded and sad like he was lost in deep memories. He didn't speak nor reply when I asked if he was okay. I took that as my answer. I had a few more things to do.

"Percy?" I said quietly. He looked at me a little, still lost in thought. "I'm going to give you some tests," I spoke to him gently since he looked almost reaching a flashback and I hoped to avoid that.

"Not great at those," Percy commented, his eyes were even mistier than before. I stood in front of him to keep his gaze on me.

"This'll be easy. I'm going to say a word and I need you to say the first thing that comes to mind." I explained carefully. He nodded slowly. I got out my pad and uncapped the pen. To that noise, his eyes perked up a little. "Let's start."

Percy: 

"Let's start." Start what? Oh wait, I remember! The word tests. Nick's had this done on others to see how sane they are or what kind of person they are.

"Hope?"

"Lost."

"Trust?"

"Flaw." Banner's eyes went curious.

"Friends?"

"Gone." Worried now.

"Family?"

"Risk."

"Hate?"

"Pit," I muttered that with distaste. Bruce looked concerned.

"Love?"

"Owl." My voice was softer now. Bruce wrote some things down before looking up at me.

"Okay, now I'm going to say a colour and I want you to say the name of a person who comes to mind." Banner said. I nodded once. My hands fiddled with my ring.

"Red?"

"Clarisse."

"Orange?"

"Leo." My voice was quiet and low, but he heard me.

"Yellow?"

"Luke."

"Green?"

"Mom." She always looked so beautiful in green. She adored the colour too.

"Blue?"

"Thalia." Pinecone face would've suited her better, but I couldn't.

"Purple?"

"Frank."

"Black?"

"Nico." Banner wrote more than the others this time.

"White?"

"Piper."

"Grey?" I took in a breath, Bruce looked up.

"Anna – "I stopped myself. don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. Bruce watched me carefully. As though he knew that wasn't the full name. he didn't say anything either, didn't push me further than that.

"Tests done. All I need now is to check your heart rate and ask a few more things." Banner reassured me. I didn't say anything, but he continued anyway. "Have you been diagnosed with anything?"

"ADHD and Dyslexia," I replied. Bruce arched a single brow. "And PTSD." The brow went down.

"Have you ever been poisoned?" I nodded. "How many times?" worry crept up in his voice. Let's think, Luke's scorpion, the occasional monster, actually there's too many to count. I was poisoned multiple times in the pit. "– ercy? Percy?" the doctor snapped his fingers in my face once. My head snapped up towards him.

"Just-just a lot," I said, ignoring my zone out moment. Bruce wrote down quite a bit before asking his next question. "Anything else?"

"Last thing." Banner notified. His eyes narrowed which caused me to think this wouldn't be fun. "I need you to take your shirt off so I can check your heartbeat." I hate it when I'm right. 

Ooohhhh, cliffhanger much? I don't think I made such a big deal about this but it'll still be included. 

I watched Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 and now I'm sad. Rip Gwen and Captain Stacy. Dunno why I decided to watch it though, I think I was listening to Gone, Gone, Gone by Phillips Phillips earlier so that might be why. 

I'm rambling... your loss.
