Percy:

I made it, only I wished I hadn't. I survived the Giant War, yet I didn't feel like living. They were gone, all but Nico and me. Not gone as in they'll be back later. Gone as in dead, they died. Tyson, Connor Stoll, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank – even Annabeth. She was the first to go. We had just gotten engaged the night before falling into the pit, when we came out – only one of us made it, and it wasn't my strong Wise Girl. Those minutes in that lift had taken all the life out of her and nearly me too. I wished I could join her, but I can't. I never even heard her last words.

Leo however, nobody knows where he went. He's not dead, Nico confirmed that. He's gone to Camp Jupiter for a while to help out Reyna with the repairs. Thalia left with the hunters. There is a portal given by the gods to join our two camps. A graveyard was built for the fallen demigods shortly after the Titan War and it had recently added many more graves. The 5 of the 7 who died had statues. Annabeth's looked so real, perfectly carved by her own mother, Athena. Athena had forgiven me, she thanked me for taking care of Annabeth for as long as I could. I didn't feel like I had done that, I felt as though I could've been better. I could've protected her.

I made my way back to New York but found it was more destroyed than when I left it. Was there another attack? Did Nick have an issue? I went straight to my house only when I got there it wasn't there anymore. The place I lived in was in ruins, just like everything else around it. What in Hades happened? What could've done this?

I ran to the nearest police station. People looked at me funny. In my defence, I had just come from the final battle. It had only been a day and all I got was one shower and clothing change before leaving camp. I hadn't even taken care of a single wound or injury that I had gotten. Will was busy with others, figured if they got worse Nick could help, that's if I can find him of course.

Walking up to the front desk, I asked for Norris Fagan (Don't question it) and saw the officer go wide eyed. Not many people knew that. it was a code name for Nick if someone close to him needed to find him. The policeman led me to a car and gestured to the passenger seat. I silently got in and let him drive me somewhere without talking. I know what you're thinking. 'Are you insane? You don't know where he's taking you!' Yes, I know that. I figured he'd take me to wherever Nick was.

We arrived at a tower with a big logo on top. Actually, it was broken and battered as the rest of the city. The only part that remained was a big A. it had workers on the scaffolding fixing the glass and framing. The policeman let me get out and pointed to the door without saying anything. I thanked him as he drove off to where we came from.

With my monster-proof phone in hand, I went inside the building. People were all around the lobby, but nobody took notice of me. I went straight to the desk woman and asked for the same thing as the police station. She told me to wait and called up. I paid no attention to what she said over the phone. She told me to wait for a Pepper Potts. Was that her name? I think so. I sat on a chair and took a breath. It was nice, not having to be on the move or looking over my shoulder. I felt a ting of pain from my injuries but pushed that aside. A woman tapped my shoulder and I stood instantly.

"sorry, didn't mean to scare you." She apologised. The woman was tall and skinny, she had strawberry blonde hair and a warm motherly smile. Her badge read Pepper Potts CEO of Stark Industries.

"That's fine." I said. "I need to speak with Nick. Is he here?" Her eyes went guarded from the name I spoke. I guess I'm really the only one who calls him that, well except from Annabeth, but she's gone. That doesn't matter now.

"Director Fury is upstairs. Let me take you to him." Miss Potts said and began walking away. I followed her to a stop when she stood in front of a lift.

"What floor is it?" I asked shakily. Miss Potts turned to see my expression. Her eyes were a little worried, I guess I went pale.

"17th floor. Is there a problem?" Miss Potts asked.

"No, not a problem." I lied. We stepped into it. I silently prayed for Zeus to let me live as we went up. She eyed me before going to her tablet with emails waiting to be read. I closed my eyes and turned to face the outside.

I'm out. I'm not there. I kept thinking. I mouthed the words to myself without actually speaking them. I am out. I'm safe. It's okay. But another voice told I wasn't. that I am alone and not okay. I gripped the handles tightly and kept my eyes closed. I was frozen.

The doors opened and I ran out. Miss Potts looked at me with deep worry, but I ignored her and waited to move forward. I looked around in wonder of where Nick was. I needed him more than I thought. Miss Potts moved down the left hallway and I followed slowly. I still had a limp from the war, in fact, I had many unhealed wounds from the war. Some were obvious since I didn't have a jumper on. Miss Potts was often stealing glances at them before going back to her device.

We came to a stop near an opening with sofas and a huge TV. The glass was recently replaced, a bar was not far from it. (Not Age of Ultron main lounge, just one like it).

"Wait here, Director Fury will be here shortly." Miss Potts said. "Would you like anything? Food, water?" I shook my head lightly. Miss Potts took a look at my barely healing and still lightly bleeding wounds across my face and arms but walked away with a forced smile.

I waited for a few minutes. I leaned against the door until someone passed me. I was on my phone as usual, looking through the photos I had from our quest. Agent Barton stopped when he saw me. no uniform or weapons on him, just jeans and a hoodie. He looked like a regular person.

"Agent Jackson?" He asked, baffled a slight bit. I looked at him.

"If that's what you prefer." I said breathlessly. He gave me a look, then took in my appearance.

"Why are you here? How'd you get in?" Barton asked. I hoped Nick would arrive soon. I hadn't any idea how to answer those questions. I shrugged in reply. With that answer, he stiffened to a guarded posture. What did he think I was here for? "You can't just be here without clearance kid – "

"Jackson can be wherever he pleases." A voice I longed to hear said. Nick stood, as beaten as me. I think I was worse still. "That'll be all, Barton." Agent Barton went on his way, giving me a glare before he left.

I let out a long sigh. "Let's talk."

Eek I have school tomorrow (again) and I've got History with a bunch of asses. Thanks to all who read this, it really cheers me up!
