It was still early in the evening. A certain family was preparing themselves to attend a business party held by a high-class family, the Quinn.

The Quinn family owned a high fashion company. A business in the design market that sells high-class apparel merchandise. This includes luxurious clothing, such as fancy dresses, suits, and footwear, as well as accessories, such as jewelry and hand-watches.

And of course, as a world-class family, the Bloom was exclusively invited.

In a white room, in front of her vanity, a twelve-year-old girl was getting her makeup and dress done. Every family member was supposed to go but the younger daughter, Iris was fighting a bad fever in her room.

"How is Iris?" Amaryllis asked the maid in concern. She could feel her heart saddened because she couldn't stay with her sister. The girl herself didn't want to go to the party because she thought meeting old rich people was boring and she hated crowded places, but since she couldn't refuse her parents, she agreed to come with them.

"Miss Iris is still in her bedroom, sleeping." The maid said as she was helping Amaryllis get into her dress.

"Is she alright?" Amaryllis asked in concern once more.

"She is. The young miss shouldn't worry, Miss Iris is in good hands." The maid assured with a soft smile on her face.

Amaryllis nodded with a sad smile. On the inside, she couldn't help but worry. Iris who was two years younger than her never experienced any sickness before. Amaryllis wondered if her sister could handle the pain.

Amaryllis was lost in thought until the sound of knocking on her door was heard. When a figure came in, it startled the young girl when her mother herself showed up to see her.

"Lili. Let's go." Aster, her mother called. Wearing a luxurious green dress with long braided hair on her shoulder, complete with golden pieces of jewelry. Aster Bloom would be the eye candy of the night.

"Okay. Let us go." Amaryllis who was also looking beautiful in her red dress permitted the maids to leave and walked outside.

The Bloom got out of their mansion and got into their luxurious Maybach Exelero. With a single command, the driver started driving and after a good two hours, the family of three finally arrived at their destination - The Quinn mansion.

To even hold a party at their own house meant that the Quinn family had the confidence to show people their luxurious homes. The mansion was sure huge and fancy-looking but still, everyone knew the Bloom had it larger.

As everybody knew, tonight, the Quinn held the fiftieth anniversary of their company and would announce their next heir later that night. Only guests from high-class rank were invited.

Stepping outside the car, Amaryllis wanted to run as she still hated the idea of meeting old people with formalities. She knew the people who would approach her just wanted a conversation with her father, wanting a connection with the Bloom.

Amaryllis was aware of her position but decided to not enter and ran to the garden. Yeah. She didn't give a fuck.

"Lili!- Don't go.." Aster yelled halfway and muttered the rest of her sentence helplessly. She couldn't yell again because she would draw attention from the other guests inside. Abner, her husband just sighed at the scene and just escorted his wife inside, ignoring whatever his daughter wanted to do.

Amaryllis giggled as she was sitting on a golden swing, happy as she managed to get away from her mother.

After a while of staying in the garden, the young girl couldn't help but admire her surroundings. The garden she was in was lit with golden L.E.D lights lining one place to the other. The beautiful garden was also planted with every different kind of flower, there were roses, irises, hydrangeas, marigolds, and many kinds of others but sadly no amaryllises.

Staring at a beautiful fountain in the middle of the garden, Amaryllis then wandered her eyes to the sky. The stars were sparkling brightly, unreachable even for the daughter of the richest man in the world.

What a beautiful night, she thought.

As time passed, Amaryllis became so bored and tired of waiting for her parents. After she saw the irises that were not far from her, she remember her little sister and wanted to go home to see her. But, as she was about to stand up, she saw a black figure.

At first, it scared the hell out of her, but soon the figure revealed itself, shone by the garden lights.

The man was called James Quinn.
