Remus was suddenly sick, and Patton had to go fight off a villain. What will happen with Dee and Remus alone?
~~Present day ~~
Remus stumbled into the kitchen, feeling less than great.
"Are you okay kiddo?" Patton asked, "You look pale, well, paler than usual."
"I'm-" Remus swayed, nearly falling.
"Woah!" Patton caught the boy, "okay, you're not okay."
Remus nodded, leaning into Patton.
Patton sighed, picking up the sick boy, "let's get you to bed."
"What happened to Remus?" Roman asked, walking down the stairs with Virgil and Remy.
"He's sick, don't know why." Patton explained, "he's staying home today."
"What? W-why?" Remus asked.
"Because you can hardly stand." Patton chuckled.
Remus shrugged, closing his eyes, "fair enough."
His brothers chuckled, waving goodbye. Patton carried Remus up to his room. He was asleep before his head hit the pillow.
"Is Ree-ree okay?" Dee asked, sitting up in his bed.
"He's sick, but I think he'll be okay." Patton said.
Remus stirred, "m-my meds... I didn't take them today..."
Patton hummed, "why don't you skip them for today."
"Why?" Remus asked.
"Well, have you ever gotten sick like this before?" Patton asked, sitting on the bed.
"No." Remus sighed.
"I'll talk to Emile about switching your meds." Patton smiled softly.
"That's possible?" Remus asked.
Patton giggled, "yeah, Virgil had to switch his anxiety meds at least three times. He hated it."
Remus smiled softly. Patton's phone rang.
"Hello? Okay, I'll be right there." Patton said, hanging up, "I've got to go kiddos, Lo needs some help. I'll be back as soon as I can."
Patton kissed Remus's head, then Dee's. Then he rushed out the door.
Dee got up and walked over to Remus, "are you gonna be okay?"
Remus smiled and ruffled the child's hair, "I think so Dee."
Dee giggled, "you're so cool Ree."
Remus blushed, "yeah yeah."
Dee smiled and crawled up on Remus's bed, hugging him. Remus tensed, but soon relaxed.
"I'm glad you're my brother." Dee yawned, smiling.
Remus smiled softly, "I am too."
