The purpose of a song is not to end, but if it did not, it wouldn't accomplish it's goal.

~~Present day ~~

"Happy Birthday Dee!" Remy laughed as his younger brother blew out the candles, "I cant believe you're eighteen now."

"Its kinda hard to believe myself." Dee chuckled.

Virgil ruffled Dee's hair, knocking off his hat, "well you better believe it, you're going off to college soon."

Dee groaned, "don't remind me."

"Come on kiddo," Patton giggled, "college will be fun. That's what Emile told me anyway."

"And even if it isn't, you could just drop out!" Remus suggested.

"Or try and get in some better classes." Roman said, smacking Remus.

"I'll keep that in mind." Dee chuckled.

Logan smiled, "alright. Who wants cake?"

~~Later ~~

"Hey Dee?" Virgil said, walking up to him.

"What's up Virge-!"

Dee was cut off by his older brother hugging him.

"I'm so happy you're our brother." Virgil whispered.

Dee smiled, hugging back, "I am too."

Patton and Logan watched from around the corner. Logan felt a weight on his shoulder and looked down at his husband.

Patton squeezed Logan's hand gently, "I'm so proud of them. They've come so far."

"I know." Logan kissed Patton's forhead, "I'm proud too."

The two retired superheroes left their sons to have their moment. Life seemed to have worked out for their family. They couldn't be happier.

Suddenly, Roman's and Remus's pagers went off.

"Rem! Virge! We got a fight!" Roman laughed.

"I'm coming!" Remy smirked.

"I'll be there in a sec." Virge chuckled.

"Be careful Virge." Dee smiled, "take care of our idiot brothers."

"Hey!" Virgil laughed, "Remy's not that stupid."

Dee laughed more as he watched his brothers go fight a villain. Nothing could make him happier than his family.
