Companionship

I like company.

Sometimes, just being with myself sounds terribly appealing. Quality time alone. Isn't that wonderful?

But I've been molded by society. Shaped into someone who cannot leave the company of others.

Someone who has been lonely for so long, the yearn for company is real amd strong.

I want genuine human connection.

I want those stupid small talks which go on for hours on end.

I want a bond. Something that will never break.

That day, we were just walking together, heading to the mall after school.

I had spare time before my next appointment. And she too had time to spare. I didn't want to be alone and assumed she wouldn't want to either.

So I asked if I could join her as we walked down the street.

And she said "Sure, you can join me."

I definitely think crunchmunch wrote it better but I hope mine is good enough to do justice to hers.
