Confession

"I like you." She says, and she breaks out into an angelic grin.

"I... figured it out... Which is why I called you here today..." He looks at her sheepishly, scratching his head.

"Blunt as always I see." She pauses, giving him a slightly hopeful glance before asking, "So senpai, what's your reply?"

He stares at his feet, unable to meet her in the eye, "I...I'm sorry... I cannot return your feelings..."

He hears soft laughter and he looks up, "Thanks for your answer senpai, I can finally get it of my chest now."

She gives him a small smile before turning around, "I'll take my leave first, see you around!"

She starts walking away, increasing her pace with each step so he would not see her teary face.

Even so, he still saw it. The row of tears streaming down her face.

He could not do anything about it but just stare at the girl's leaving figure. Going to her now would just be too cruel.

Hopefully, they could still be friends.

Seeing the girl disappear into the crowd, he starts to make his own way home.
