Heart and Brain

One day, she came up to me and said, "I want to fall in love."

I just stared blankly at her, "What?"

"I want to fall in love."

"Um ok. But why so suddenly?" I questioned, puzzled by her random speech.

"Don't you realise? Everyone around us is getting into relationships. I'm envious! I want an exclusive relationship with a sweet caring and preferably handsome boy too!"

I sighed, shaking my head in disbelief.

She continued, slightly shocked by my lack of interest perhaps, "Don't you wish to fall in love too?"

I shook my head once more.

The dramatic look of shock painted across her face was priceless.

Ruffling her hair, I smiled, "Not everyone is as love crazy as you, Heart..."

"But Brain...." She whined, "Just look at that eye candy of a classmate you have, don't you want to have such a good-looking guy by your side?"

"Nah... I'm better of studying." I brushed her off, "He ain't gonna fufil my dreams of getting a penthouse, you know."

"Awww... But... You are missing out on your youth being this way!" Heart lamented, tugging on my sleeve.

"I might search for my special one some other day, just not now." I paused, looking at Heart with a smile, "I'm not ready."

Heart groaned. "Fine... I can never convince you anyways."

"That's a good girl. Now let's go back to studying shall we?"

"Nooo... Not studying..."

"But we have to, remember? How else are we going to get into the place we want to be in?"

"Urghhh... You are such a party pooper, Brain... But ok. We shall study. And once we're done, I'm going to introduce you to some guys, deal?"

"Yes my lady, deal."
