I am the ice queen.

Sitting in my throne, I overlook this small town. I know most things. The gossip, the latest news, I know them all. However, I never show acknowledgement. I just watch over this small town, expressionless, like the ice queen I should be.

I don't give people the cold shoulder. If they amazingly would like to hold a conversation with me, I would reply with whatever vigour I could muster. It would be a pleasant surprise afterall.

The other day, a college kid sitting near me was telling his friend about how hard college life was. He even considered dropping out. I didn't want that to happen, so I shouted "no" on impulse. I got weird looks from the two of them.

They walked away whispering to each other.

I am an ice queen, sure. But I don't want to be like this. If you peel off the layers, you'll realise that I'm just like everyone else, just more awkward and shy.
