Stress

It was odd. Way too odd.

Once the words "You are dismissed" left the examiner's mouth, the hall interrupted into thunderous cheers.

I remained in my seat - emotionless. There was no feeling of relief crashing over me like I had expected. No sudden feeling of liberation. I just felt empty.

I shuffled out of the hall, following the hundreds of students who rushed out.

I desperately wanted to check my answers with someone else like what I did after every exam. But I had a meeting.

Resigning to my fate, I slowly walked into the room where the meeting was to be held.

Awkwardly, I pulled out a seat furthest away from any human.

Soon more people filed in and so did our class's vice chairperson. Nothing could explain my relief when I saw someone I actually talked to enter the room.

The meeting begin.

It was for the upcoming prom preparations. And there was so much to do.

I needed to alert my classmates of the reporting time.
I needed to tell them about the payment method.
I needed to organise who sat where on Monday.

Exams were finally over but soon, a new stress settled in.
