My prom experience was more than I could have ever hoped for. I was  even struggling with separating my personal experience to a more generic point of view for the article. I was determined with finishing it up that I nearly forgot that my birthday is coming up.

There is no way Nicole would ever let me forget but I am guilty of always putting it on the back burner. I was able to persuade Nicole into telling me what big shindig she had planned. Nicole informed me that she wants to throw a beach party. I guess it could be worse , it is not like I have a lot of friends so I anticipate it to be a small group of people. Boy was I wrong.

There were people everywhere I looked. I swear I didn't recognize about 75 percent of the people. What in the world?

"There's the Birthday Girl" Nicole says while holding a red plastic cup. God only knows what's in it.

"Nicole who are all these people?" I asked trying to remain calm.

"I don't know girl but this party is rocking." Nicole starts to dance to the beat of the music. Great, she is already plastered.

"Nicole I am going to take you home." I try to tell her.

"You want me to miss out on my best friend's birthday? You have got to be kidding! Danielle the party just started." Nicole pouts. What am I going to do with her.

"Okay you can stay longer but no more drinking. You need sober up before I take you home." I declare this time not taking no for an answer.

"Yes Ma'am" Nicole yells as she salutes me being sarcastic.

"Sit here I am going to try and find Aiden." I direct her to a wooden stump that is sitting around the bonfire.

Nicole then makes eye contact with a guy across the bonfire and I swear if that fire wasn't between them that this situation would turn rated R real quick.  I shiver at the thought. Okay Danielle, where is Aiden. I search through the crowd of people.  I see a couple guys close to the shore with surfboards. I bet Aiden knows them. I hurried over to the crowd of guys and Aiden I make eye contact and it was like no one else exists.

"Hey Danielle." Aiden smiles and makes it difficult to focus.

"Hey Aiden, I need your help." I say trying to get to the point.

"Sure thing, anything for the Birthday Girl." He teases.

"Alright, alright very funny. I need your help with taking Nicole home." I explain and Aiden catches onto my concern. We both search around the bonfire for Nicole and she is now making out with that guy. Gross!

"Nicole looks pretty preoccupied if you ask me."Aiden says laughing and I couldn't help but join in.

"Seriously Aiden we need to take her home." I demand between my laughs.  Trying to stick to my original plan.

"Danielle she is fine for now. How about you enjoy your party and we can both keep an eye on her. That will give Nicole time to sober up and it won't be too hard to persuade her into leaving." Aiden explains

Of course Aiden's idea makes sense. I nodded my head and next thing I knew I was actually beginning to enjoy myself. A couple of hours passed and we decided that now would be the perfect time to take Nicole home.

"I am going to get Nicole. I will meet you at the car." I tell Aiden as I kissed him on the cheek.

"See you in a bit babe." He grins.

"Hey Nicole it's time to take you home." I say as I gestured her to come with me.

"My best friend is a party pooper but I love her." Nicole rambles on. "Did you have an awesome birthday party?" She asked

"Surprisingly yes." I tell my overly obnoxious friend.

"Good because you deserve the best because your the best friend I could ever ask for." Nicole says as she leans against me for support. I just roll my eyes as we continue to walk to the car to meet Aiden.

I am listening to all the embarrassing stories Nicole has to tell about Danielle as I am driving. One of the stories included Danielle mistaking a pickup truck for her dad's and ended up in the vehicle with a complete stranger. Oh, and the time she drove off with a gas pump after paying for her gas. The craziest story by far is when Danielle decided to dye her hair because of when she watched Bring it on. The characters mentioned that no one be a natural blonde hair and have dark eyebrows. Danielle decided it would be smart to dye her hair to match her eyebrows. I find it hilarious that she would take something said in a movie so literal and I am beginning to realize that Danielle was for sure a natural blonde. I am glad that she went back blonde it suits her more.

"Aiden are you laughing at me?" Danielle asks and I couldn't help but laugh even more.

" I would never!" I tell her laughing more.  Danielle smacks my arm in a flirtatious way. I reached for her hand and placed it on my lap. God,  I love her.

When we made it to Nicole's house I was sitting there not ready to leave Aiden for the night. "Thanks for the ride Aiden."  I say not able to look him in the eyes.

"What's on your mind babe?" Aiden asked as he placed his hand on my cheek.

"I am not ready for you to leave." I said feeling a tear streamed down my face.

"Babe you say the word and I will stay." AIden says looking at me dead serious in the face.

"Stay with me tonight." Aiden begs and my knees give in.

"Yes" I tell him before kissing him. "I will go walk with Nicole to her room and I will be right back down." Aiden nods his head as I step out of the car.

"You know you don't need to babysit me. I'm a big girl." Nicole ramblers on as I tuck her into bed.

"You are a nutcase and you need to get some rest. I will text you in the morning." I tell her

"Where are you going." Nicole asked confused as to the change of plans.

"Well Aiden." I begin to say and Nicole's eyes get  big out of excitement.

"Tonight is the night?" She asked and I couldn't help but blush

" Daniele please tell me that tonight is the night that you will spend with Aiden."
