Thank you so much theweirdchic for agreeing to do this interview. It's truly an honour. From the books Black Rose {A Fred Weasley Fanfiction} to Bad habits {A Billy Hargrove Fanfiction} she is truly amazing. I absolutely love her books and if you haven't read them then you are missing out.

@theweirdchic is one of the sweetest people ever. Please go check her out if you haven't.

without further ado, let's get on with the interview.

What inspired you to start writing?

Watching the film, I think, because I'm such a huge fan of the Harry Potter series I've seen the films countless of times and when I re-watched them I kind of found myself imagining what it would be like to be in that situation and I kind of started imaging myself in the scenes I guess, and I think that kind of inspired me to write it down rather than just thinking about it if that makes sense?

Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?

I had a lot! I even got to the point where I was going to just scrap the book and just forget about it. I think the comments I received on the book from actual readers got me through it and just made me think that it was a decent story and I should continue it. As well as when I went through my biggest writer's block I read a series called Tightly Knit and that really inspired me to keep writing

Do you see yourself in any characters and why?

Definitely Aurora. I think that's the beauty of creating an original character, it lets you express yourself as them and so I loosely based her off me/ off how I want to be

How old are you?

I am 19

How old were you when you started writing?

Well, I've actually always loved to write so quite young! I think I made my first story when I was in year 5 (so around the age of 9-10) however I started writing on wattpad around the age of 13-14 after a long break of no writing

Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?

A mix of excitement and nervousness I think. I was a bit nervous about it being completely and utterly s*** (can I swear on this?) however once I started to get more into it I was more and more excited and I'd find myself writing a few chapters a day and instantly publishing them from the excitement (hahaha how sad eh)

how long does it take you to write a book on average?

That's quite hard to say tbh since the number of writer's blocks I've had ranges. Erm, I think it took me about 3 years to fully complete Black Rose with some editing as well, whereas now I'm writing a lot more so I recon that number has gotten smaller

What's your outside life like?

It's pretty quiet and boring. I suffer from anxiety and depression which makes it hard to do a lot of things that I used to (probably why I've started writing a lot more recently) I live with my boyfriend in a small flat and no one actually knows that I write stories aha

where do you get your ideas from?

Mainly from the Harry Potter films and books and the idea of Aurora I kind of just thought up in my head probably a mix of different characters I've read about and watched over the years

What do you like to do when you're not writing?

Watch movies, read as well as doing some art

What does your family think about your writing?

They don't know I write fanfics, however, when I used to write stories on paper for school projects, my mum would always joke around and say that I'll be an author one day

What do you think makes a good story?

Relatable characters, like ones that when you read you can actually picture yourself as. More to a story than just a romantic interest, I like to feel connected to the characters and them be three dimensional rather than just a name, if that makes sense?

And lastly, As a child what did you want to be?

A lot of things tbh ahaha, once I wanted to be a vet, once a fashion designer and even an author
