"Different" -Part 16

We went inside the house.

It was really small in contrast to mine. But it was so cosy and the atmosphere was different.

His parents were so nice.

We were talking for hours and then we had lunch all together.

I met his dad, his brother and his little sister.
They're all so kind.

After this, me and Martinus went outside the house.

There was an area full of plants and grass.
Everything belonged to his family.

Me: It's so beautiful.

Martinus: You haven't seen anything yet.

He grabbed my hand and he showed me the place.
There were many animals and plants.

We were holding each other's hands, walking all around the house and laughing at the same time.

Me: Your house is amazing. It's better than my house... I've never thought I would say this.

Martinus: You're house is far more luxurious. What do you like this one?

Me: I don't know... Maybe it's not the house, eventually. Maybe it's the people who live in it.

Tinus: You don't like your family?

Me: No don't get me wrong. I just wanted to say that me and my family think that we're happy because we're wealthy.

Tinus: And... you still do?

Me: No.

He smiled.

Martinus: So... The sky's getting darker.

Me: what a pity. This was one of the best Christmas holidays in my life. I had such a great time with you and your family.

He stroked my cheek.

Me: I wish some days lasted forever.

Martinus: The day isn't over yet.

Me: What do you mean?

Martinus: Stay here. I'll bring some blankets and food.

I was so happy.

He left, I sat down on the grass and he came back quickly.

He put a blanket in the ground and we lay together.

He wrapped his arm around me.

Martinus: Are you hungry?

Me: Kinda.

Martinus: Great.

Me: Oh my- look at the sky.

There were so many stars. The moon was close to earth.
The sky was kinda purple.
There were no clouds.
It was so clear.

Martinus looked at me.

Tinus: You can see this view from your house too.

Me: It's not the same. There are many lights around us.

He nodded.

Me: I'm sorry.

Tinus: For what?

Me: For everything.

I hugged him and I started crying.

He was confused.
