Reminders

Ladybug and Chat Noir are hanging out on someone's rooftop, as weird as that sounds. Glancing up the stars, Chat sitting on the railings as Ladybug is standing behind him.

Suddenly, Chat heard the bug sigh, causing him to turn his attention back. "Why the long face, milady?", he asks, worried.

Ladybug looks at him with a pout. "Am I pretty?..", she asks him, her big, blue doll-like eyes piercing through him in an innocent way.

Chat looked up with a smirk. "Are you pretty? What a difficult question!", he starts.

Ladybug just pouts more as she looks at the black clad hero.

"Maybe yes.. Maybe not..", Chat says as he turns to look at Ladybug only to find her pouting more as she begins to look away from him.

Chat freaked out and was worried on why she took his jokes really seriously. She was being serious??

"M-mari! It was a joke! You know that!", he says, stammering. "Hey, what's really going on?", he asks.

Ladybug looked at him but before she could speak-

"Wait. Let me guess..", he says, his face, just by thinking about what he think it is, is getting bummed about it.

"Lila", he says flatly.

Ladybug's eyes only started to glisten, tears threatening to fall.

Chat smiled and let out a small exhale before he proceeded to hug Ladybug. "Aw, love, don't let her get to you.", he starts, looking at Ladybug sweetly.

"You're the most beautiful girl, without a doubt", he says, smiling.

Ladybug then smiled, a red hue dusting her cheeks as she looks at the equally dusted face of her black clad partner.

Chat Noir's eyes opened, seemingly startled. He had scars and bruises all over his face. "A.. dream?", he says to no one in particular.

He paused before continuing. "No.. A memory", he says as he rubs his cheeks.

"Why am I remembering it at this moment?", he asks himself.

"I might be the most beautiful girl but you're the hot one here", Ladybug retorts, her eyebrow raising. "I'm in love with our cat ears though. Those won my heart", she added jokingly.

Chat smiles wearily as he chuckles to himself weakly. "My ears, huh..? Oh Mari..", he says and paused.

"Marinette.."

"Mari, where is she?!", Chat began freaking out about the whereabouts of his partner, the he saw her, lying on the ground, unconscious, holding the miraculous box. 

"Mari!!", he screams.

He went over to Marinette's unconscious frame and held her firmly but gently. "Mari, are you alright?!", he asks.

Marinette, eyes still closed just muttered a soft, "Adrien..", before she opens her eyes and looks at him wearily.

"HawkMoth... knows I'm Ladybug..", she says straightforwardly.

"You know what that means..", she says, looking at Chat weakly, before she continued. "Right..?", she finally says.

Marinette could perfectly see the look on Chat's face as she mentioned what had to be done due to the said situation. It was the only way. "We don't have much time le-", Marinette gets cut off by Chat.

"No, there must be another way!", he pleads.

Marinette only looked at him. "You know that's not true!", she says. "Please don't make this harder than it is already..", she adds.

"Mari-", Chat Noir was cut off when Marinette placed her hand on his cheek, tears threatening to roll down her cheeks.

"I trust you with all my heart..", she says, tears rolling down her cheeks as she smiled. "I know you're going to be an even better guardian..", she says with a smile.

She pauses and smiles. "Oh?"

"Let me tell you, you look hot even when you cry", she jokes.

Chat Noir only looked at her with a teary face, his eyebrows hunched and green iridescent eyes glistening with tears. "Mari.."

The two heroes hugged. "I love you. I love you. I love you", Chat Noir said.

"Please never forget that I love you so much, Adrien", Marinette says, before she closed her teary eyes. "Goodbye, my kitty..", she says before pulling the hero into a kiss.

The next thing Chat knew, he was waiting for Marinette to wake up, and so she did. "What... Where am I?..", she says, just as her eyes went wide. "Oh my God, a cute guy in a cat suit", she says.

"You're awake!", Chat says, smiling, his face too close for comfort in Marinette's situation, leaving her cheeks a hue of red.

Just as then Chat realized as he saw the look on Marinette's face which made him blush. "Oh sh*t, I forgot about personal space..", he thought to himself.

The two moved away from each other. "S-sorry.. Didn't mean to scare you! My name is Chat Noir", he introduces himself, smiling.

"And I'm... Just a friend..", he says. "Nice to meet you"

Marinette gave him a shy smile. "Hello, Chat Noir. Nice costume. Can I just say something?", she asks.

Before he could answer- "You're so hot but I really love those cat ears", she says, not realizing what she said until she finished, leaving her own self red on the face and eyes wide. "What did I just say...", she thought to herself.

Suddenly. "What... Sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry!", she says, overly concerned about the sudden crying of her new friend.

This is based on spatziline's comic above! I got really emotional watching and making this at the same time :<. This is also quite shorter than the others, around 900+ words.
