Prompt two: Bully

It was just another normal day for Marinette. She didn't really expect something would happen in this particular day.

Valentine's Day.

She didn't really like someone and she doesn't care about how others would feel about her. It might seem heartless but she was more focused on the 'Hearts Fashion Line 2020' of the famous Gabriel Agreste. It was the only thing that she was waiting for the past month.

She bought a cute red turtle neck with matching red heels from the line and decided that it would be great for the heart-themed holiday.

She also added an off-white blazer and some white jeans. Putting her hair up in a bun and adding some make up for a change and a tribute to the holiday. Marinette's make up was all natural with her eyeliner a lot winged than usual and her pink lipgloss popping her lips out cheekily.

Marinette looked at herself in the mirror one last time and quickly grabbed her red, heart-shaped purse and smiled. "Perfect"

She walked downstairs and greeted her mother and father in the bakery, which seemed busy hence the holidays. "I gotta go! I'll see you later!"

She then runs down the street, towards her school. She woke up extra early for the day to surprise Alya with her new look for the holiday.

When the designer arrived on the steps of the school, quickly making her way up and seeing her best friend on the phone, also wearing a quite different style than usual. "Alya!", she calls out to the blogger.

Alya looked up and saw her best friend all dressed up. "Wow, girl! Looking great!", Alya compliments her friend.

Marinette only gave a flustered smile. "Thanks! You look great too. I actually saved up for the shoes and turtle neck", she says sheepishly.

"You just bought those for today? Woah, effort", Alya jokingly says to her friend.

The comment only made Marinette laugh and usher her friend to their first class.

Marinette wasn't really that much of attention's favorite, which she didn't mind. She wanted to stay low and not let anyone really notice her that much. But much to her dismay, most students that she had passed by the halls this day, stares at her, like in disbelief.

Why?

She squirmed a bit in place, she was getting uncomfortable with the attention she was getting.

Sure, she changed her style a bit but they shouldn't really get their hopes up and think that she'd be doing this for the rest of the year.

Boys that she barely knew or never knew of existed in the school came up to her. Some flirted with her and some even tried to ask her out.

She was overwhelmed by the attention and politely declined any of their coquettish instances.

Was this the effect of Valentines' Day or people are just crazy with new styles?

Unbeknownst to her, a pair of green irises were staring at her from across the cafeteria, quite stunned himself.

Adrien Agreste did not expect to see her in a make over, or probably just a style change. Her hair was different and damn her lips even stand out than usual too.

He knew that she was attractive, even comparing her looks to some of the girl his friends recommended him to hit with but..

Wow..

She was slowly enchanting him, without even her knowing it! What kind of magic is that?

Adrien covered his flaming face with his hand, hoping no one had noticed the flushed expression on his face. He absolutely did not want anyone to see him getting worked up over a girl.

A girl! A girl that he loves teasing and picking on so much to the point of everyone believing that he liked her and was afraid to show it.

Which wasn't too far-fetched with what he is actually feeling.

He looked up and saw Marinette being surrounded by tons of boys, trying their hardest to gain her acceptance with the flirting and the offers of dates.

He saw that Marinette was clearly uncomfortable with it and he didn't like it.

Adrien then stepped over to the crowded table, where in the middle was a clearly overwhelmed girl that didn't know what to do with the attention she was getting.

He wiggled his way through the crowd and grabbed Marinette's arm, pulling her out from the herd of boys that wouldn't leave her alone.

"Can't you all see that she's uncomfortable? Leave", he says, trying not to get really angry at the most idiotic people that he met.

Some boys left and some scoffed before leaving while one remained and glared at the blonde. "What's it to you, Agreste? You don't even like her. Not even as a friend"

"What part of leave did you not get? You're as dumb as you look", Adrien shot back at him, making the other guy glare at him before leaving.

Adrien scoffed and collected himself before he heard a shy, "T-thanks... For that..", from the noirette behind him.

[NOIRETTE; the term people use for girls or women with black hair]

[The term BRUNETTE could also be used as a description for such but I prefer to use it for females with hair shades of brown to dark brown, to avoid confusion]

Adrien's face went ablaze, making him cover it with his hand and turn away from the confused girl. "D-don't get used to it! I j-just felt sorry cause you were helpless out there!", he defended himself, earning a smile from the girl.

"Of course, Adrien", she says before seeing Adrien head off to his next class in a hurry, making her giggle.

"Maybe he isn't so bad, after all..", she thought to herself before walking to her next class.
