It was another day, and as usual, there was another akuma to defeat for the heroes. It was a little tougher than their usual fights so Ladybug decided to call for help from another Miraculous holder, this time, a new one.

"I gotta get help, Chat. Stay here and hold the akuma off as long as you can, I'll be back with help", she says, rotating her yoyo. "Let's squeak things up, shall we?", was the last thing she said before zipping off to the bakery.

The trip to the bakery was a lot longer than she expected but it was a lot quicker than foot. She went in her room through the window and grabbed the Miracle Box.

She flinched slightly, remembering the great responsibility Master Fu had passed onto her. She sighs at the terrifying memory of it.

The ladybug-themed Miracle Box then opened one by one but she then grabbed the Mouse Miraculous and closed the box. She looked back at the box and frowned slightly before zipping off to her chosen classmate.

Ladybug landed gracefully in front of her classmate. "Mylène! I need your help", she says.

"Ladybug?", the music lover asked, surprised. "What brings you here?"

"I need you to help me, will you be up for it?", Ladybug asks.

"S-sure! I'll do my best!", Mylène nervously says.

Ladybug smiled before handing out to her the Mouse Miraculous. "Mylène Haprèle, I grant you the Miraculous of the Mouse, that grants the power of multiplication. You are to use these powers for good and when finished, you are to return it to me", she says.

Mylène shakily got the spherical container and wore the necklace. "I won't let you down, Ladybug!", she confidently says.

Ladybug smiled. "Say, Mullo, get squeaky! To transform"

Mylène nods. "Mullo, get squeaky!"

Chat Noir defended himself with his baton as the akuma was about to hit him from above. He was crouching down as the akuma was overpowering him. "Okay, milady. I could quite use some help now", he says through gritted teeth.

Suddenly two pairs of legs landed behind him, one rotating her yoyo. "Sorry I'm late, kitty cat. I got us help!", she says, grinning.

Chat smiled and kicked the akuma in the stomach before jumping back to his spotted partner. He saw in his peripheral vision a familiar shade of pink. "Multimouse?", he asks and looks back, confused on how Ladybug visibly stiffened.

"Chat Noir! No! I'm... Uh.. Mousene.. Yeah! Mousene!", the new hero introduces herself.

"Well, nice to meet you, Mousene", was all he said before facing back the akuma, making Ladybug confused.

"Woah.. He's usually so... interactive with new heroes but he just seems... bummed out?", she thought to herself. "Focus, you two, we got an akuma to defeat"

Her two allies nodded and went along with Ladybug's plan.

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

A familiar flock of Ladybugs envelop the city and fixed all the damages that the akuma had caused. The akuma was quite a challenge to defeat but they made it out safely.

The three shared their ''Pound it''s and laughed.

"I'll be back, kitty. I just need to get her miraculous back", she says before zipping away.

Chat nodded and waved goodbye at Mousene, tending to Parisians who have been hurt and helped the akumatized person get back on their feet.

It was a tough akuma but he had managed to hold it off before Ladybug had came with Mousene. He then waited by the Eiffel Tower for his partner, sitting there, deep in thought.

Honestly? He was bummed out. He thought that he was going to see Multimouse again, but she was replaced with Mousene.

Not really replaced replaced and not that he doesn't like Mousene, he was just much more ecstatic to know that Marinette was actually a superhero. The role and the Miraculous fits her very well and the color is very her.

He sighs. Of course, it's not like he could see Multimouse again. She revealed her identity then and there when they were fighting Kwamibuster, for sure that Ladybug won't give her the Miraculous again, it'd get Marinette in danger.

The thought made him more bummed out even more but relieved, that his friend wouldn't get hurt.

The cat let out a big sigh, not noticing his spotted partner land behind him. "What's up, kitty? You've been awfully... distant. Something wrong?", she asks, occupying the space beside him.

"Nothing.. I guess I'm just being silly..", he says, smiling sheepishly at her, rubbing the nape of his neck, a mannerism that Ladybug was so familiar with that she couldn't point her finger on.

"You can't tell me. I won't judge", she says, smiling softly at him.

"Promise?", he asks, apparently very seriously.

"He's just like a child..", she thought to herself, laughing inwardly. "Promise"

"... Well.. I kinda wanna see Multimouse back..", he finally confesses.

Ladybug's eyes widen a bit from surprise. "Multimouse? Why?", she asks, curious.

"I was really expecting the new hero to be her when I saw the.. familiar shade of pink in my peripheral vision. I guess I'll remind myself to not expect too much..", he continues on.

Ladybug was only silent, surprised but decided to listen to his rambling.

"I mean, I already know the consequence of knowing each others' identities and all, but I.. kind of have a... complicated? Yeah, complicated relationship, you could say, with Marinette in my civilian form , and yeah, before you kill me, I won't tell you any more about her in my life", he says, chuckling nervously.

"I just.. wanna befriend her in at least, one part of me, y'know?", he says, smiling at his partner.

"Oh you have no idea..", she thought to herself.

Then they both heard beeps from their miraculous. "Well, thanks for listening, milady. I really appreciate it. I'll see you next patrol", he says, gently grabbing her hand and kissing her knuckles then propelling away using his baton into the Parisian night.

Ladybug watched him disappear before zipping off to her own destination.

Adrien had finished his bath for the night and quickly went to his desk to do his Physics homework.

His mind was still astray, still not taking the idea of Marinette not having the Mouse Miraculous but also knew all too well that the decision was for the best.

He frowned slightly but then continued working on his homework, not noticing Plagg's snickering.

"How ironic... He's with her almost everyday..", was what he thought to himself before gobbling down his cheese.

Just a little more suffering and this painful obliviousness of the chosen will be over.

I apologize for the lack of presence and along with it, lack of updates. I recently got into a Fencing-like sport and is in the team for competition this February, yes, in the middle of the war of all my schoolworks and projects, soooo... I'm a little busy :'))

And yep, Mousene is a bad name, I know. I just created it in the nick of time ;-; Sadly, there won't be any Christmas specials, I don't have ideas at the moment qwq
