LUCKY CHARMS THEORY; Tied fates

These two lucky charms in the show are always bugging me and my curiosity, so I decided to look into it.

Marinette and Adrien both gave each other Lucky Charms. Marinette gave her crush one during the Season One episode 'Gamer', while Adrien gave Marinette during her birthday, in 'Befana'.

And so, with the ongoing heartbreak about the Love Square slowly being ripped to shreds and their possibilities of not happening, I am here to reassure you with my theories and my one shots that they are meant to be and nothing can change my mind.

Today's topic is all about;

Now let's see here:

Marinette's Lucky Charm

(A big green bead, with pink beads, a bit of blue and yellow plus black amd lastly, all in a red string)

Adrien's Lucky Charm

(A yellow bird/garlic bird along with more golden yellow beads, and some blue beads, all in a red string)

These lucky charms are iconic and are a big part of their relationship. Every bead, string and its color, they must mean something.

"Let's dig deeper, shall we?"
In further research, I found out that the green bead in Marinette's charm symbolizes good luck and the golden yellow garlic bird symbolizes destruction.

There is also theories for the string from different cultures or countries;

• Japanese beliefs say that there is an Ancient Legend where a red string is attached to your pinky finger, where soulmates are connected and it would get cut off when one does not fulfill one's promises. This is called Yubikiri meaning "Finger cut-off"
(With an additional vow; "Yubikiri genman, uso tsuitara hari senbon nomasu" --> "Finger cut-off, ten thousand fist-punchings, whoever lies to swallow thousand needles")

• Chinese beliefs refer to this as the 'Red Thread of Fate' or 'Red Thread of Marriage'. It says that gods tie an invisible red cord around the finger of those who are destined to meet one another in a certain situation as they are "their true love". The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time or circumstances.

Now, I mentioned that in each charm, there are at least two colors present.

In Marinette's, the dominant bead colors are a green bead, with pink smaller beads but majority in numbers. In Adrien's, the dominant bead colors are golden yellow beads and blue beads. Pointing it out, don't the colors seem familiar?

If you still don't know, the colors symbolizes their colors.

The blue bead symbolizes Marinette's eyes and the green bead symbolizes Adrien's eyes.

Now, notice that the charms don't have the entire palette of the one's who gave them, but have the alternate colors of each other:

• Adrien's Charm= Yellow (his hair) + Blue (her eyes)
• Marinette's Charm= Pink (her pants) + Green (his eyes)

Everything cleared out? Alright! Proceed to the conclusion.

CONCLUSION;

Marinette and Adrien are two halves of a whole. Everything about them are completely opposite and that makes them complete each other.

From Adrien's cold home to Marinette's welcoming home, his burdened schedule and her free one, so on and so forth.

Their lucky charms, one means good luck and the other bad luck, a balance that is binded by a red string of fate.

That alone, their charms already symbolize that they are meant to be together. They are each others' missing pieces and it is only a matter of time before they figure it out.
