Chapter IV

The sun peeked through your window, like saying hello and waking you up. You slowly opened your eyes, and smiled remembering last night, it had been a blast to finally do the kagura dance, just like your mother, and you'll probably do it next year and the following ones, but the best part about last night was after the show.

-Y/N! You did a fantastic job; I couldn't expect more from you- said Mr. Ito approaching her with a warm smile while he was being followed by your father

-You look just like her- he said, you couldn't hold it and you jumped to hug him, he returned the action by hugging you back warmly, you hold the need to cry by holding him tighter- how about we ask Ms. Chie to prepare some good banquet

-And let her take out the booze! -Mr. Ito said

-I'd love that- your father took your shoulder and began walking away to the shared house, you didn't even thought about the other girls, you were done with them and you didn't had to stand them anymore, or at least for that year you had barely walked a step or two when you and your father bumped into a lost Zoro- Is everything okay Roronoa?

-I need to get away from those girls- he said pointing at Kahori who was looking for him among the crowd, you grabbed his arm by instinct and walked away with him, Mr. Ito and your dad following you behind but Kahori saw you and was not letting him go

-You bitch come back here! - you could hear her screaming- you temple girl come here right now! - You stopped. It hurt every time you heard that, it wasn't your fault, but it still haunted you. Kahori walked directly to you with a bitchy face, swinging her body to try to catch Zoro's attention- move- she said trying to make you let go of Zoro's arm, you slowly lost your grip from him but Zoro grabbed your hand

-I'm sorry, I'm heading to the dinner to celebrate Y/N's participation in this tradition along with the temple crew- Zoro sounded professional and serious, it made you get back your confidence in a boost- so if you excuse us

-But...- Mr. Ito stud Infront of her

-Miss I recommend you leave the temple for now or we will ban you because of your behavior- for the first time, Mr. Ito sounded like a normal person and not a jack ass, his strong voice made Kahori turn around irritated and she walked away stepping hard on the ground so everyone could see the show she put up- Lets go already before Ms. Chie decides is not a good an idea to take the booze out

-I like the sound of that- said Zoro walking behind Mr. Ito only to realize he was still holding your hand- sorry

-It's okay, thank you- you looked directly as his face for the first time since you met him, he has a nice smile

-Keep an eye on Mr. Ito while I go get something from the storage room, okay? - you turned to your dad and nodded while following Mr. Ito and Zoro to the common house

-Good morning Y/N! - said Ms. Chie while you entered the kitchen, it was still kind of messy after last night dinner. Zoro competed against Mr. Ito in a drinking contest and Mr. Ito had lost, now he couldn't joke about Zoro's sense of direction anymore, because of that Mr. Ito had a big tantrum before your dad and you had put him to sleep, you didn't think Ms. Chie will give booze again in a long time

-Good morning, how is everything going? - Ms. Chie smiled leaving a warm breakfast in front of you

-Good as always, my dear- she looked happier than usual, well happier than usual after Mr. Ito's shows- I've been thinking about you and your mother recently- she cupped your cheeks- every day you look more like her, and yesterday I saw her living image in your smile

-You are really sweet Ms. Chie- she chuckled and let you go- thank you for the breakfast

-You are welcome dear- she placed a glass of water in front of you- what are your duties of today?

-I have planned something with my father for our guest due to his...- you sighted- talent of finding himself in different locations with not porpoise at all on doing it so

-You say it in a way that seems too technical- said Mr. Ito entering the kitchen like nothing had happened the night prior- I call it being a dumbass

Zoro had just finished his second round of training when he decided it was enough for his body, so he decided to train his mind by having a good deserved nap in his room. He packed his stuff and walked to his room directly, not because his sense of direction was good now, but because he was training outside of his room. He was not risking it until he knew all the temple, he didn't want to end up in the village out of nowhere. Zoro had just closed his eyes when he heard something strong hitting wood, he was about to get out to see what was going on when the sound stopped so he returned to his comfortable position, until the sound started again.

-Can you please stop it!?- yelled Zoro opening his door, you were standing near his room with some wooden planks and a hammer- what are you doing woman!?- he said irritated

-I'm setting a path so you won't get lost- Zoro's expression softened- look, I'm putting some planks around and uniting them with this huge ribbon so you can hold up to it and find your way easier- Zoro's expression remained still, kind of annoyed by the noise but seeing your good intentions couldn't complain or say anything- am I disturbing you?- he didn't answer, he was being rude about it and yelled without knowing who and what was doing the sound

-I'm sorry, my bad- he said closing the door of his room

You continued setting the wooden planks, this time trying to be quieter about it to not make Zoro mad. This was your welcome gift for him, at least he could go have dinner on time if he followed this path and if someone else on the temple helps you out, you could even put one on the path to the village so he could go there easily. Still, the look on Zoro's face made you think about last night, he had protected you somehow so this was also to thank him about that.
