Chapter XXIII

You could hear his heart beat as you laid on his chest, it was strong but calmed and you loved it. The day prior had been amazing, not only he showed you the city and it's surroundings but he also made you see the stars at night (if you know what I mean;))

It was such a shame that you had to leave that day, it meant so much; you had to start working at the school without him knowing, doing all the work you had to do already and trying to beg your father to let you go again to Zoro's next competition, but the worst thing about it was that you returned to a place where you couldn't show affection to Zoro publicly, you wondered if you would ever be able to do so, if he were to stay after the year was over but you some how knew he wouldn't stay, you felt it

-Would you...?-you whispered to the sleeping man who growled and moved to your annoyance making you return to your empty side of the bed- sorry for waking you up

-It's okay- he said stretching- did you said something?- he questioned as he could've swear he heard you said something

-No, I thought you said something-you said trying to confuse him- Did YOU said something?

-...don't do that to me- he said messing his hair up- I just woke up but I'm sure you said something

-I have no clue what you are talking about- you said crossing your arms and turning for him to see your back, he was fast to turn you around and be on top of you

-Maybe I should make you remember- he whispered on your ear making you go limp while his voice send shivers down your spine. He chuckled before letting you go and returning to his place in bed while you were left on yours completely red, you could've swore there was smoke coming from your hears

Sadly you closed your suitcase and stared at it for a minute before you felt a hand on your shoulder

-It's time- he said helping you stand up and carrying your suitcase with him- we can come here again, after the matches

-For real?- you asked Zoro who nodded giving you a warm smile, the one that you loved so much

-Look who's here- said G as soon as you reached the lobby with all your stuff- Are you all settled and ready?- he asked- can't wait to see where the hell have you been living for the past months Zoro

-You'll like it- said Zoro leaving the stuff on the ground and holding you close

-it's your hometown, right Y/N?- he asked while some people took the suitcases outside into a car, you nodded- Zoro told me is a small place, had you been in a city this big before

-Never in my life- you admitted- it's quite a change but I must say that I like it a lot

-Weird- he said while walking out- most people go to towns like you to get out of places like this, and you seem to be the one trying to do the opposite

-leave her alone- said Zoro while you entered the car, he closed the door though and stud outside saying something to G that you couldn't hear before opening the door again and getting inside himself

-Is everything alright?- you asked seeing how G just decided to shut up at all and just sat in one of the seats of the limousine, Zoro nodded as you just laid your head on his shoulder wondering what did they talked about

The road back was amazin as you got to see even more stuff that when you were on your way there as you had fallen asleep, but after a good cup of coffee, nothing was going to stop you from seeing the landscape at all. But something was odd about Zoro, something was bugging him and you noticed it but tried to calm down by kissing his cheek. He only kissed you back but was still quiet, even for Zoro.

-We need to stop for gas, stay here, okay?- said G when the limousine stopped in a small city, you looked at the window for a second before looking at Zoro who you felt needed more attention
-What's wrong pretty boy?- you said placing your head on his lap, he instinctively started messing with your hair- are you okay Zoro?
-Yeah- he said, you obviously didn't believe him sending him a serious face, one that he hadn't seen for a while. The kind of face you showed when you first met him- I just... - he looked at your face who insisted him to explain- just wondered how the next matches will be like- he said, lying unbeknown to you
-You are stupid if you are getting worried about them- you said winking at him- you are the best one ever, no matter what everyone says or who wins this competition, I believe you'll always be the best
-...- he looked at your determined eyes and smiled when hearing something so nice coming from you, he couldn't help but to kiss you again, he was just so lost in you he couldn't explain it himself- you are way to optimistic- he said- I do need to win the matches though, but at least I know that I'm the best one for you- you hugged the guy before G entered the car to see you two
-I don't understand how...- he said sitting down, he found your relationship really rare as Zoro was never into anything relationship wise and you seemed to different from him, but he liked seeing his friend happy

After sometime your town came to view, sending that melancholic feeling to your heart as you had to do so much now that you were there that you were possibly going to die inside by the end of it. Get the money, work at home, help Zoro train, seemed like just a few things to do but she knew how hard all of them were, specially if your father was looking for you 24/7, but you had determination to do it and you were going to pull it off.

-We are here...- said G as the car parked in front of the trail leading to the temple, people from it standing in front of it with signs and balloons to congratulate Zoro- you have fans here too- pointed out G, but Zoro smiled as he knew they were supporting him more than them being fans
-Congratulations Roronoa!- said Mr. Ito drinking from a bottle while your father just hold a nice sign- this one is for you!- he said drinking more
-Thank you- said Zoro once out of the vehicle with you and G- Mr. L/N... this is my manager, G
-Thank you so much for taking care of Zoro- said G bowing to the man who smiled politely at him
-Its a pleasure- said your father looking at you happy to see you back and without any scratches- I shall invite you to the small event we prepared for Roronoa, if you would like to stay- Mr G nodded and everyone started walking back the temple, your father waiting for you
-Hi- you said hugging your father who almost bursted into tears- I... I got you this- you took a keychain from your pocket, he took it but placed it on his pocket as he was more happy for seeing you there than for anything else
-Please tell me that next time you won't be gone for too long- he said making you raise an eyebrow
-How do you know...?
-Roronoa told me he invited you to his matches- he said- I thought you knew... well maybe you don't need to go
-Dad... please- you crossed your arms
-Okay okay... lets get this man a warm welcome- he hold you close while walking back to the temple as he was afraid of you flying away if he let you go.
