You and Mike were getting on the bus around 6:30. You guys walked to the back of the bus and sat down in the last seat on the left. The two of you had been sitting in this seat for as long as you could remember. It was just your typical Monday. Until...... he got on the bus.
He was a new student. You had never seen anyone like him before. He was tall. Had nice somewhat wavy brown hair. Every girl on the bus didn't seem interested. In fact you noticed that you were the only girl the seemed to notice he was even on the bus. He slid in to the deer next to you and Mike. He was wearing these nice fitting jeans and a maroon hoodie and a jean jacket on top of the hoodie. He was wearing black boots as well. Mike being the person he was got up and walked in front of you and walked to the seat diagonal from the seat the two of you were sitting in to go see Will.
You didn't notice but you were staring at him the whole way to school but you didn't realize until you guys arrived at the school.
"So the new guy?" Mike said bumping into you as you handed him his backpack since he had left it in the seat
"What about him?" You asked going slightly pink
"You know what." Mike said as the two of you entered the school
"Whatever I'll see you in third period." You said as the two of you split up and went to your home room.
"Good morning y/n." T/n said, "your late........ for the third time this week."
"Yeah, yeah just continue." You said walking to your seat
"Excuse me but that is no way to talk to an adult young lady." T/n said
"Whatever just write me up already." You said picking up your stuff and walking back up to the front of the room
"2 days of detention as usual." T/n said as you were walking out of the class
You made your way out of the hallway to find the new kid sitting on a bench outside of the school. So you walked out of the school and sat next to him.
"Hey I'm y/n." You said looking over at him
"Hey, I'm Steve." He said looking up right into your eyes
For the few intense moments that the two of you shared you realized how beautiful his eyes were.
"Sorry......I......uhm,.." Steve said awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck and looking away from you
"It's ok. So why are you skipping school?" You asked
"Because all the people here are just....eh, so why are you skipping school?" He said looking down at the ground
"T/n is annoying and I'm supposed to be in detention but I never go because he's the only administrator that actually knows I'm supposed to be in detention." You said
"So uhm, do you know any good places we could go to hang out?" Steve asked
"Yeah follow me." You said standing up
You led him to the woods not to far from castle Byers. And were you brought him there was a small shack that you and Mike had built a few summers back.
"Were are we?" Steve asked
"So where in the middle of the woods." You said opening the shacks door
"So why did you move here?" You asked plopping down on a bean bag in the corner
"I don't know my parents change the subject every time I ask." Steve said sitting in the bean bag chair across from yours
"Uh." You said
"So uhm...... have you lived here your whole life." Steve said
"Yeah basically everyone has." You said
"So I'm questing your all friends than?" Steve said
"No not really I'm only friends with Mike Wheeler. He has his group of friends but there all dweebs." You said
"Oh so everyone in this town is weird and eh." Steve assumed
"Yeah basically." You said
"Shit." You said getting up looking at your watch
"I gotta get back to the school." You said walking to the door as Steve followed you
"You know your cute." Steve said as the two of you walked through the forest causing you to blush
"Your cute too." You say as he grabs your hands and intertwines your gain gets with his
"I know I just met you but I like you."Steve said stopping you to stare into your eyes
"........same." You say as he pulls you into a passionate kiss
"Alright we really have to go or Mike is going to kill me
"Quick question." Steve said as the two of you started to walk again
"What." You said
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked
"That'd be nice." You said looking up at the trees
A few minutes have passed and you and Steve have flirted the whole way to the school.
"Where the hell have you been!" Mike yelled as you and Steve walked up to the school
"It's none of you business we're I go Mike." You said walking past him to go get you stuff
"Uhm I've known you since I was 3 we've always told each other were we go you don't know how fucking worried I was I thought something had happened to! I don't think you realize how much I fucking care about you! It has been the hardest year of my life because of how much we have been fucking arguing!(Mike started crying here) I don't know what has happened to us but whatever it is I need it to fucking change because the scariest fucking thing I can think of is losing you! And I don't want to know what that feels like! Ok." Mike yelled as you stopped and stared at the door crying realizing how scared you best friend was
"Mike listen I am so sorry. I have been having a rough time in life too. I have been trying to hide that from you for 3 fucking months now. And instead of keeping you from it I am just bringing you down with me." You said letting go of Steve's hand and walking of to Mike who was crying super hard at this point and hugged him
"We need to talk this out later you said wiping your tears away and walking back over to Steve
Mike and his friends went home and you and Steve were walking through the school to go you guys' stuff
Steve stopped you and pulled you into a deep hug
"Are you ok?" He asked
"No." You said starting to cry again
"Talk to me." Steve said pulling away and sitting down against a locker
"My older sister has just been diagnosed with cancer. And my mom died of cancer after I was born. My dad left when my mom told him she was pregnant with me so my sister is all I have. My moms parents don't even care about us because they thought that our mom was a slut and was a disgrace." You said as tears started streaming from you eyes faster
"Hey it's ok I'm here for you and your sister will get through this. Trust me I have a strong feeling about this one." Steve said pulling you into his lap

A few years later

You and Steve have been together for 3 years now.you and Mike's friendship has gotten better you also told him about you sister. Your sister started chemo therapy and survived. She is now healthier than she ever had been. Now every holiday it has become a tradition for Steve and Mike to come over for holidays and all of you had formed your own little family. After 3 years Mike still does not approve of Steve.

Hey I'm sick today so I was finally able to post. Yay! I'll really try to write more. Or try to get into the habit of writing and posting everyday. Anyways hope you enjoyed.
