GABRIELLA'S POV:

"Good morning Mrs. Miller." I greeted Scarlet's mom as soon as she opened the door.

"Oh! Gabriella how are you?" She asked me in her jovial manner.

"I'm good Ma. May I come in?"

"Of course darling." She said sweetly and opened the door wider for me to pass.

"Is Scarlet at home ma?" I asked her as I looked around the mansion. It was so big. I've been here so many times but still, I'm in awe with the place. The theme of the mansion walls and furniture were black, grey and gold. So beautiful and it screamed elegance and wealth.

Of course it should considering who her dad is. I found out the second week after knowing her when I was doing my political science homework.

They said we should write down political positions in a Federal System of Government using the U.S as an example from the President and down stating the current people holding those positions.

After writing the President, the Vice President, bla bla bla, then it was the Speaker of the House of Representatives, I found out it was David Miller, her father, Scarlet's father!

And because of that, Scarlet's father isn't always around. He's always at the U.S. Capitol Building, located atop Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.

It was even hard to make it through the security at the gate of the Street. Thank God I still had Mrs. Miller's phone number. And it's not that they haven't seen me coming here before.

I shouldn't even complain, it's far worse for my own place.

"Yeah she's in her room. You know your way there right?" She asked as she wiped the sweat off her forehead. Seems she's cooking 'cause I'm scenting chicken.

"Yeah."

I knocked on the door but there was no reply so I just went in without care.

I was surprised to see her laying on the bed in a horizontal way with her legs crossed as she furiously tapped on her iPhone.

"Did I say you could come in?" She said not looking at me.

"Since when did I start listening to people?" I went and sat on the pink heart shaped sofa as I looked at her, wondering why she's acting like this.

"Can you please leave?" She stated as she sat and stared at me with a bored expression.

"Uhh rude much?....there's no way I'm leaving after I drove...."

She rose her eyebrow at me.

"I mean after I took an Uber, all the way from Beverly Hills to here just to see you."

"It's a forty minutes drive Gabriella."

"How can you say that so casually?"

"How can you be so mean to people so casually?"

"What? When was I mean?.......Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, is it that time that you drank that water that we mixed with powder and grounded sugar thinking it was milk? I'm so sorry but it was Andrea and DJ who came up with the plan, not me. They actually blackmailed me into doing it."

This time she rose both her eyes brows. "It's not that and by the way, I know it was you that was the architect of that prank."

"Then what is it?" I asked curiously.
