pushing and pulling. all of my classmates are surrounding me. hurting me. their words cut into my ears like a knife. and in this moment, i wish i could just disappear. like i was never here. but just as my thoughts got too difficult, i saw his shocked expression in the doorway.
like a prince in shining armor, he came into the circle of students that surrounded me. he took my hand and led me out. i took the time to admire the thin silver ring on his right hand. i had never noticed it before. or maybe he just hasn't been wearing it.
he unlocked a door and motioned for me to walk inside. i obliged and sat down on the ground. knowing that i might still be shaken up, he hugged me tightly like he always does. and i was brought back into my safety zone.
