New years eve

Hey, So first of all happy new year to all of you. Sorry for not updating for some time i have been pretty bust around the holidays as well so i made this chapter extra long. Enjoy and don't forgot to party tonight😂❤️

The new year was just a day away now and what a heck of a year it had been. From a winning season to finding love which both of them hadn't said out loud to one another. Yet. would tonight be the perfect nights? But to celebrate they needed to wake up, something that had always been quite difficult for the both of them.

That did not stop the alarm from going off at 7.30am. Beth tried to find one of the remaining pillows to put over her head but she was stopped by the little demon next to her who grabbed it out of her hand and threw it across the room. "RISE AND SHINE HUN" she said jumping out of bed and hopping to the chair to get her pants. "Help, what did you do with Daan?" The blonde said covering her face with the blanket. Daan walked up to her pulling the blanket off as well and straddling her lap. "Oi" Beth screamed at her trying to get her off herself but it had no use because Daan pinned her hands behind her head leaning in for a kiss. "Now get up you lazy ass" she said pushing the winger out of the bed. "Yes mam"

When the two were finally done they got in the car. Beth was still half asleep but she had a bal of energy next to her. That bal of energy was getting sick of the moody girl next to her and pulled the car to the Starbucks drive trough. "What do you want?" She asked her. "Ice frappecino caramel" After getting their coffees she continued the drive to the airport but not without some music she considered nice. "Not again, don't you have something different?" The blonde asked after hearing the song for the hundred time that week. "Nope i do not. The song fits me perfectly i'm a stuiterbal [a little ball that bounces up in the air and back to the floor several times in a row]" Beth shook her head leaning it back against the window.

When they arrived Daan texted their friends who were waiting on them inside. When the brunette saw them she jumped out of the car. "AHHHH HEY" She screamed almost hugging every single one of them to death. "How are you?" Marlou asked her. "Live has been treating me well" she said looking at the blonde and smiling. "Finally?" One of her other friends asked. "Finally" she said putting their luggage in the car.

The drive back was loud as expected with a lot of catching up. Beth was pretty quiet and Daan was getting a bit worried cause she was surprisingly usually the louder one. "U okay?" She asked putting a hand on her thigh. The blonde nodded and gave her smile. It was the truth she was doing better than fine. Seeing Daan interact with her friends made her heart flutter even though she couldn't understand half of it cause most of the things were said in Dutch.

After putting the bags away The girls were going to lunch. "Hun i'm gonna stay here okay so you can have some alone time with your friends" Daan would be lying if she'd say she wasn't really disappointed but she understood where the blonde was coming from. So while Daan was having lunch Beth was in London shopping for Daan to find the perfect gift.

"So you and the blondie, took you long enough"one of her friends commented. The brunette couldn't help but blush a little. She was in love and felt like a teenager again. "Yeah" she said smiling from ear to ear. "I'm happy for you" Another friend said. "Yeah i am too" Daan commented which made all of them laugh. When they got back the blonde was nowhere to be seen which caused a form of suspicion. After an hour she finally walked trough the door. "Hey" she said walking upstairs as fast as she could to hide the bag that contained a necklace.

Returning downstairs she heard that a vague discussion was going on. "Everything okay?" She asked with a hint of fear in her voice. Daan laughed at her scared look in her eyes. "Yeah just deciding what to get for dinner" Beth looked at her in disbelief. "Why does Dutch always sounds so aggressive?" She asked "I don't know german is worse hun" she responded. "But what do you want for dinner?" She asked hoping the blonde would have an answer, she did like always so the sushi was quickly ordered and eaten.

As the clock hit the 20.00 hour mark the girls walked in the pub they had rented for the night. Of course they were late but this time it wasn't Daan fault it was Beth's. She had trouble picking out her outfit and needed the help of the midfielder. After hearing so much Dutch the blonde wanted to upgrade her vocabulary a bit so Daan learned her some stuff which she was more than excited to put to use tonight. "Wie wil er wat Drinken[who wants a drink]?" Beth asked. The brunette couldn't help but feel proud she was truly in love with her and the thought of that scared her so much she was willing to be scared her whole life if that would mean she'd spend it with her.

After numerous drinks the two of them had gotten tipsy not really to anyone's surprise Beth found the karaoke machine and started to sing the high school musical song Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. "A long time ago in a land far away lived the pineapple princess, Tiki.
She was sweet as a peach, in a pineapple way, but so sad that she hardly speaky.

All of them rounded up in-front of the countdown at the tv. One more minute until 2020, the beginning of a new decade and both of them had a feeling it would be one hell of a decade. "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2..1" they all said in unison. "GELUKKIG NIEUWJAAR [happy new year]" Beth screamed trough the room. "Come here you fool" Daan said pulling her closer to give her a new years kiss. After breaking apart the blonde looked at the as what she called herself 'stuiterbal' with eye. "How do you say i love you?" She asked. Daan was a bit taken aback by the question but answered her anyways with a curious look in her eyes wanting to know if she'd be the first one to say it. "Ik hou van jou" she said still a bit resilient. "Ik ook van jou" Beth responded with a huge smirk on her face happy that her plan had worked out. "Omg your unbelievable, i hate you" she said pouting. "You love me" "yeah" she said leaning in for another kiss. "I got you something" the blonde said handing her a small box. It was quickly opened like a little kid and when it revealed the necklace with the heart on it Daan practically jumped on her. "I LOVE IT" she said. Beth chuckled "just like me" she said. The brunette gave her a look "piss off or you're not getting any tonight" she said with a threatening look in her eyes. "Funny i'm irresistible" Daan shook her head in disbelief at the girl.

The night ended pretty late for the both of them that night arriving home at 4am and as Beth hadn't stopped making jokes Daan kept up her promise. "I can't believe you did that" the brunette laughed at her. "Guess your not irresistible" she said with a wink walking out of the room to go downstairs as Beth followed. They had slept in until midday still not wanting to get out of bed but they had to drop of their friends at the airport again.

With Daan giving Marlou one last hug before walking inside she said something to the both of them. "have a good year babes, whis you all the best in the world. See you soon" waiving a kiss hand to them.

"What do you want to do today?" Beth asked. "Mmm" Daan said crawling on top of the blonde starting to kiss her neck grinding on her immediately. " I definitely agree" Beth said picking up Daan leading them to her bedroom. What a start of the new year both of them thought.
