We walked along the dark path in a diamond formation. A wolf led us as Ken followed behind it with two wolves on his sides. Another followed between the two of us. I thanked Goddess that a wolf was stationed in front of me because I was close to ripping the vocal cords from Ken's throat.

Ken continued with his never-ending word vomit. I looked to my left at what I assumed to be the Alpha male. Ironically, as pack leader it's weird for him to be in the back. I would think he'd be in the front. Leading. Wait a minute... I've been with Ken too long. His stupidity is rubbing off on me. I absolutely must do a cleansing ritual when I get home.

To be fair, I don't know much about the shifting wolves. Other than the fact that they are incredibly dangerous and travel in packs. Maybe I could ask Ken, he thinks he knows everything.

My eyes connected with the Alpha's and I could see aggravation in his senses. He probably saw it in mine as well. "I wouldn't mind if you killed him. In fact, imagine a lavish party in your honor. Never ending food. Dancing. Drinking. Anything your heart desires," I pleaded trying to convince him.

The wolf answered me with a huff of his nose. "Was that a yes?" I asked eagerly. I waited for a growl to escape his muzzle, with the others following. Pouncing and ripping through Ken's meat suit. Unfortunately, I was plagued by disappointment. Once again. He either thought I was humorous or foolish. Either way, as long as I don't get killed. I'm fine with either thought. I couldn't help but wonder where we were being taken.

"Morina!" Ken shouted from the front of the line. I clenched my jaw ignoring his cry. How dare he mention my name. We were in this mess because of him. Probably. He taunted them.

I mean, honestly. Who the hell cracks jokes while under siege?! You know who?! Ken! That's who! Fucking moron.

I continued to walk ignoring his constant singing of my name. The multi-colored Alpha next to me growled lowly, as he flattened his ears. He was also clearly annoyed by the likes of Ken. It honestly didn't take much. I couldn't help but laugh quietly at his mannerisms in wolf form. It's so funny how their emotions emote in a canine way. Maybe I could get him to kill Ken after all, I thought to myself.

The wolf gazed at me, and I bent lower. "Listen. We both obviously hate the blabber mouth bastard upfront. How about we knock him out? Leave him in the middle of the woods. Hopefully, the predators among us would tear him limb from limb," I smiled at the wolf persuasively. His eyes squinted as if he was deciding to go with my genius plan. But alas, he turned away from me and continued pushing on.

I crossed my arms over my chest and let out a soft sigh. Why won't anyone kill him?

Minutes had gone by and Ken managed to stop repeating my name. Thankfully. Instead, he continued to talk to the wolves beside him. So, I still had to hear his voice either way. He just couldn't shut up. I laughed as I realized he was having a full-blown conversation with himself.
