"First thing to remember is to concentrate and clear your mind. Afterwards you will need to focus on your breathing and the feeling of your pulse and blood flowing all over your body. Blood is the passage of humans to magic. That's why blood sacrifices are quite popular kid. Then you need to focus on the part of your body that will excel the magic out. So hold out your palm to me first"

Nodding at Bill's explanation, Dipper hold out his palm to Bill and let the demon take a hold of it.

Bill placed his own hand over his and then Dipper suddenly felt a weird sensation of his palms warming up but not from heat.

Surprised by the feeling, he instinctively tried to pull his hand away but Bill had a firm grip and he couldn't pull away.

"Relax kid, what i'm making you feel right now is how it's like to have your magic concentrated into your palm. Remember this feeling okay, because you need to replicate this later"

Bill told him without looking up from Dipper's palm. Then the warm feeling flowed through his arms and towards his chest where he felt a warmth soothing sensation on his chest.

"U-um, is it alright if the feeling went to my chest?"

Dipper was absolutely clueless right now because everything that he was experiencing wasn't taught to him at the Academy.

"Yep! What i'm doing is the reverse of what you should be making. From your chest towards the palm is the direction you should be taking. Now try it!"

Bill said in a chirpy and enthusiastic manner before letting go of his palm.

"Why do you like doing rhymes and riddles so much?"

Dipper mumbled to himself but Bill overheard it and let out an expression which seems smug. It was amazing how expressive Bill can be with just an eye on his face.......or is it body?

"That's a secret Pinetree~"

Bill place a finger below his eye and made a shushing posture.

Dipper felt his eye twitch in annoyance and proceeded to ignore Bill while trying to recreate the feeling that Bill helped him find out.

First, he tried to make his mind clear and in peace. Thankfully he was a champ at that with Mabel being his twin and roommate since he birth.

It wasn't long before he was in total peace and he tried to find that warm feeling in his chest with great focus.

It took him painstakingly long but Dipper finally did, and he was almost overwhelmed when he managed to grasp the warmth.

Then the warm feeling finally showed it's appearance to Dipper.

It was some kind of thick glowing fog that was colored blue and it flows wherever he wanted to.

Trying to copy what Bill had showed him, he slowly made the fog move to his arms and towards his palm.

He tried to do it slow and steady despite the great difficulties it gave him.

When the fog finally reached his wrist, Dipper relaxed a little. Then like a tank full of water that just had been stabbed by a dagger, the magic poured out of his hand in a fast pace.

"Waah! B-bill it's-!"

Then suddenly the warmth was gone and the fog flowed back to his chest.

"Pinetree what did I say about losing focus? You can't relax when it's your first time casting a spell! Or else it will cause a magic fluctuation that will blow your head off! Be careful"

Dipper wanted to refute Bill's scolding because it was still his first time trying to cast a spell but hearing the last part of Bill's words, he immediately shut his mouth.

The genuineness within the warning was truly something real and for some reason, his anger turned into shame like a child being scolded by his teacher for doing something bad.

"Sorry Bill"

He meekly said while looking down on his shoes and the ground below.

Then he hears someone sigh and when he looked up, he saw that Bill had a hand over his closed eye.

Dipper bit his lips in nervousness and looked down again but then he felt a hand touch his head and ruffle his hair.

He look up to see Bill with an expression he frequently saw from Grunkle Ford, it was a mix between being proud and worried.

"But that was a pretty good first time kid, let's try again. Remember my warning next time Pinetree"

Smiling brightly, Dipper ran towards the center of the field to try again.

Being it his second time, Dipper managed to find and make the fog flow to his arms faster. Then he slowly let the warmth envelop his palm, replicating the feeling that Bill gave him earlier.

When he finally did it, he looked expectantly at Bill and saw that the demon was looking pleased himself.

"Now say the incantation [Ignis]. Pronounced it properly Pinetree"

Dipper nodded his head in confirmation before taking a deep breath and saying the incantation.

"[Ignis]"

Then before his eyes. Bright blue flame that resembled the fog inside him and Bill's fire appeared before his hands. It enveloped his hands but he didn't felt any pain. The fire was slightly warm in his hands and Dipper felt so much excitement course through him.

"Bill! I did it! I did it!! Look it's color blue! I can't wait to show it to Mabel! Bill look!"

He proudly announced as he looked at Bill expecting a praise.

But Dipper's face turned to puzzlement as he observed the weird expression on Bill.

The demon's eye was fixated on the flames and he could see it's blue hue reflected in Bill's eye. It was like Bill was in a daze, watching the flames with great awe and worship.

Bill wasn't doing anything but floating and looking at Dipper's form that had flames enveloping his hands.

"U-um Bill, are you alright?"

Dipper's words seems to have snapped Bill out of his daze and he looked at Dipper with that weird unknown emotion again before the demon rushed towards him and gave him a tight hug.

"W-wah! What are you doing Bill!?"

He tried to get Bill off him but the demon's hold on him was too tight and then he heard Bill rambling in another language that was probably Latin.

"-finally after trillions of millennias, you're finally with me. I've waited for so so long. My other half, my soulmate. Finally, finally, thanks axolotl! It was so lonely without you, I felt like my soul was split in half. Finally you're here, my other half. I will never leave you even if it kills me, I promise-"
(Translated to you by Mabel and Kreisal).

Dipper let Bill mumble more and hug him. He didn't know why but he felt like Bill at least deserves this from him. The demon looked really pitiful clinging to him and he let it be.

Sighing, he hugged Bill's back and waited for Bill to snapped out of it. Cause his dreams is starting be in tatters again and Bill better fix this.
